I believe Pasha has been awarded the most 10 points about 60 before the current series. My question is which dance has been awarded the most 10's the Charleston possibly. That is only a guess does anyone know the actual answer?

In 2009 they had 5 judges in the final. Darcey was a guest judge. Chris Hollins' Charleston scored 50 points as did Ricky Whittle's Quickstep.
They are the technically the highest scoring dances ever.

I don't know about most 10s although you may well be right.

The most 40s is for showdances with 5. Obviously that's different so the most for a specific dance is shared between Charleston, Salsa, and QS, with 4 each. Of course, there are some dubious 40s among them but let's not go there.

Charleston is the best dance for a 40 based on this since it was introduced most recently. QS has been there since the start. Salsa is in between those two. The only surprise is possibly the Salsa. Or is that just recent events and the Abbey 40 that is causing that.

If the Charleston isn't highest in 10s overall it is likely the highest proportionately given that it has been danced less often than most others. Even though Aliona said it is easy because you can get away with murder doing it.

Quickstep: 59
American Smooth: 53
Charleston: 52
Viennese Waltz: 50
Waltz: 41
Argentine Tango: 41
Foxtrot: 40
Rumba: 33
Tango: 31
Jive: 31
Salsa: 28
Cha Cha Cha: 26
Paso Doble: 26
Samba: 16

Considering Charleston has only been around since series 7, that's not bad going. Samba got the very first 10, but still has the least amount.

Some surprises then and some not so much. The highest ones are arguably the easiest to bluff through. The Charleston is clearly the easiest to get 10s then given the late addition aspect. I am surprised the Salsa has so few yet so many 40s (more than half the 10s are from 40 dances). I am also surprised the Paso has so few as I always think of that as having some big marks over the years. Rumba is not as bad as it is made out either.

So I guess the next question is how many were deserved?

I think Anita and Gleb scored 37 for the paso?
