Has anyone seen a hinged keyboard accessory for the iPad pro?
Every one I have seen and searched doesn't have a hinged keyboard. My thinking was that it would almost be like an ultrabook except with better battery and you could detach the keyboard when you don't want to use it.
I have seen them for other iPads, but nobody seems to make one for the pro. I don't want one of those very bendy things that you prop up at one or two fixed angles and then it falls over 2 minutes later. I want to be able to angle the screen at the right angle for viewing. Any suggestions appreciated |

Why not just get a Surface or Surface Book? Then you'd get a proper keyboard with trackpad and be able to run full desktop programs and not just apps? Both allow the screen to be set at any angle. The Surface Book even puts more batteries in the keyboard to extend battery life.

Depends what you want from it as well as to weather or not the Surface would be suitable...it's nice running desktop programs but they are often not setup well for a touchscreen interface as ipad apss are. |

Don't you have to still buy the keyboard separately? So no different from buying one for the iPad Pro?

As for programs not suitable for touchscreen the OP wants a keyboard, so it's better to use proper, full, desktop software with the keyboard/trackpad rather than trying to use cut down apps with a keyboard. When you use it as a tablet there are apps. The MS app store is nowhere near as big as the Apple app store, but there are plenty of good apps. For years Apple fans defended the Mac over the PC even though the PC had vastly more software, saying that didn't matter as long as you could get a few good programs. So shouldn't the Windows store get the very same benefit now? I've got apps like the official Twitter app, the ebay app, TuneIn Radio which is great, a couple of great Youtube apps that are far better than the official one I have on my Android phone (they let you download and save videos to watch with no network. Android won't play without a connection), the Officeapps including Word, Excel, OneNote, Powerpoint, Mail, all designed for touchscreen as well as the XBox app. Plus full programs like Chrome work perfectly with touchscreen. Swipe from left to go back a page for example, far easier than hitting the tiny back button on the iPad. It comes down to how exactly the OP wants to use the machine and what software he wants to use. Personally having the exact same OS on my PC at home and my tablet makes it far easier to use and be able to swap files, programs, settings etc. I use the Twitter app on my W10 desktop PC for example as it is far neater and sits in the corner of one of my screens rather than taking up a whole window in Chrome. |

The keyboard on the surface pro is average at best. The touchpad is rubbish.
And didn't you say in another thread that the iPad has the best trackpad, the whole screen? So why criticise the trackpad of the Surface? Just use the screen. |

Most reviews of the Surface Pro 4 are highly complementary of the keyboard. And criticising the touchpad? At least it has one, unlike the iPad Pro.....
