PLEASE READ: an important message for ALL fans

A genuine, polite message for all Strictly Come Dancing fans:

YOU MUST STILL VOTE TONIGHT!

Your favourite's biggest threat is viewer complacency - ie people assuming that it's a foregone conclusion that he/she will win easily, and therefore no need to vote, as there'll be plenty of others who will get them over the line, or something like that...

This exact reasoning has been shown to be responsible for even some political elections having gone 'the wrong way'. Beware : voter apathy is real. NEVER assume it's over, until at least the morning. Then it's probably over. Time to head home. Ouch, head hurts. What number bus do I catch from here? In fact, where am I? Where are my trousers? Spent party poppers & silly-string everywhere! How did I get red paint in my ear!? What's that burning smell? Ahh.. wow, breakfast! The sun is shining. It hurts my eyes a little, but I don't care. I'm walking through a park. Dazed, amazed & ever-so-slighty spaced-out. The sound of children playing in the distance. A milk float ambles it's way down a cobbled path. A butterfly flits between the flowers. I'm a bit sore. But who cares? All the world is alive, and the earth feels to be humming with life's sweet tune. I pause for a moment, and slowly it dawns on me that.... Oops, sorry - drifted off topic again. Now where was I? Ah yes, please remember to vote for your favourite tonight!

How many Liverpool supporters switched off when they were 0-3 down at half-time in the 2005 Champions League Final? Some even left the stadium! (can't have been true fans though). They thought it was all over, and thus ended up missing one of the greatest sporting comebacks of all time!

Okay, so I realise many of you reading this will be thinking "What!? Don't be daft, of course I'm going to vote!" - in which case, please feel free to remind other fans, perhaps by keeping this thread alive & kicking throughout the evening?

Up to you, but whatever happens YOUR VOTE WILL COUNT, and don't presume anything!! (except that I'm insane)

Good luck, everyone. Enjoy the show.

Peace

Sadly I cant watch tonight we have guests. So I wont be able to vote and therefore my vote wont count. Not that I think it would count actually, Ive never watched a series that was SO obvious who the winner was from a couple of weeks in. However strange things can happen, all the Jay fans might be at Christmas parties. So good luck to all of the finalists and and I hope whoever your favourite is that they win. Mine went out at the Semi Final. Shades of series 5 for me !!!

Good advice.

I also suggest that you avoid getting caught in the inevitable traffic jam that will develop around Glasgow Green (after the shops shut on the last Saturday before Christmas) and the subsequent mobile network collapse. The polls show that Jay fans are most likely to have left their shopping until the last minute so thousands of Jay votes might fail to be cast.

I never vote so I am not about to change my mind now.

It does not matter who wins anyway.

I think the regular SCD audience will realise that tonight their votes really count. It has been the case where we have been a bit complacent and assume the popular one will automatically go through, only to find their favourite in the DO - Georgia! My votes will go to Georgia & Katie. I think 4th place will go to either Kellie or Katie. I'm pretty sure Jay will win, but if the younger viewers are out shopping............ depends what production have in mind
