This'll be the last series of Strictly that I watch. The result tonight is meaningless, because the journey to that result has been sour. Its just not enjoyable entertainment anymore. It's become as manipulative as X Factor, which I stopped watching years ago.”
I am so glad. I hope others who were accusing the BBC of a "fix innit" don't watch Strictly Dancing again either. Their bitter, sour posts have been horrible to read in this thread. What joyless people they must be.

Absolutely, Cloudy and Annsyre! I'd have been happy for any of the three finalists to win and was as happy for Jay to get the glitterball as I would have been for Kellie or Georgia: they were both well-deserving.
There is nothing in it for the BBC producers to "fix" anything. Winning the glitterball, or being finalists doesn't lead to some sort of contract or anything. It might raise their public profile but after this, they simply return to, or continue with, what they were doing before
I've loved this series and loved the finals and shall miss it a lot. I won't miss the bitter, sour posts and posters but it is nice to share the enjoyment with other, more balanced people. Strictly is such a joyful programme, and the contestants talk again and again of the happy "Strictly bubble". Maybe the sourpusses need to find their own happy bubble!
