Some fans could take a leaf out of their favoured celebs' books about how to be equally gracious in victory or defeat.”

Maybe the poster is just PROJECTING what they want to see on the situation.

There's a lot of it about allegedly!

Jay was not the clear winner at the beginning. He was unknown to only a few tweenies who are probs not the majority of SCD watchers. He was terrified dancing live and he endeared himself to the viewers young and old alike

Maybe not from the very start, but from early on in the series, a lot of people thought that Jay would win. Last year, a good few weeks before the final, Caroline Flack was predicted as the winner.

Kevin seething? where do you see that ??? he is fine someone who has competed for years knows and understands re winning and losing he is fine - whatever way you look at it Jay may have deserved it on the season on the night he was outdanced by both KK and GG and the fact he was out danced was not that it was a BBC fix but because he did not dance as well as the other two couples - simples”

Well, it's all a matter of taste really isn't it? I thought both Georgia and Jay out-danced Kellie tonight and that's mainly due to the fact that G and J have light and shade in their dancing and Kellie lacks subtlety imo.

Pathetic and rather nasty comment.

As many male FMs have pointed out, Jay did not have just female viewers voting for him.

And another ill humoured and unpleasant dig at both Jay and the people who voted for him.

So, apart from your superior male intellect, what exactly enables you to know that he is not sensitive?

This is Kevin's 3rd year. The first year was all about Kevin from Grimsby. Unfortunately that gave him an ego and, for me, he is now unsupportable as he thinks he is SO good, and as many have said it, is now SCD, the Clifton family, with his sister and wife. The producers need to get rid of two of them

Agree. KKs routines ran the full range of subtlety from A to B.

Not sure she's ready for it.

It is very hard work and she's inclined to strops and tantrums, as we saw throughout the show. She got there in the end, because Giovanni has endless patience, but doing the actual show is a hell of a lot tougher.

I know because I've done it. I wish her well - she's a lovely dancer, and a beauty, but a West End show is very, very hard graft and she'd better be ready for it!

He certainly endeared himself to me and I'm an oldie but that was because of his surprising elegance and lightness. I know nothing about dance and for me it's difficult to assess the male celeb but he stood out for me from the start.

I looked forward every week to see what he'd do.

I'm so pleased he won.

Edit. Because he was so lovely to watch. I don't remember a male celeb with such beautiful arms.

No, I think not. Both his band mates said the same tonight. They also said he is quite introvert, so I think the image has not actually been concocted by strangers.

It's real. Who knew?

I am so glad. I hope others who were accusing the BBC of a "fix innit" don't watch Strictly Dancing again either. Their bitter, sour posts have been horrible to read in this thread. What joyless people they must be.

Absolutely, Cloudy and Annsyre! I'd have been happy for any of the three finalists to win and was as happy for Jay to get the glitterball as I would have been for Kellie or Georgia: they were both well-deserving.

There is nothing in it for the BBC producers to "fix" anything. Winning the glitterball, or being finalists doesn't lead to some sort of contract or anything. It might raise their public profile but after this, they simply return to, or continue with, what they were doing before

I've loved this series and loved the finals and shall miss it a lot. I won't miss the bitter, sour posts and posters but it is nice to share the enjoyment with other, more balanced people. Strictly is such a joyful programme, and the contestants talk again and again of the happy "Strictly bubble". Maybe the sourpusses need to find their own happy bubble!

Lovely post.

The quality of Jay's movement and his physical expressiveness moved me from the beginning. He's been an absolute pleasure for me this year, and something strangely special.

He deserved to win and I'm thrilled he has.

Congratulations the all the finalists. Everyone was fabulous and it was very close imo. I wanted Jay to win but not saying that Georgia or Kellie would not have been worthy winners also. I think Katie was outclassed. I would have loved to have seen Anita in the final but it was not to be.

Sometimes you just pick the wrong one. Everyone can make that mistake. Don't let it get to you

Terrible waste of energy

Whilst the timing and execution of Kellie's dancing was always impressive, I am afraid I found her slightly ungraceful in quite few dances.

I also didn't like some of the choreography and the repeated bizarre costume choices that really did her no favours (my eyes still haven't recovered from the 1980's day glow crop top 'n' pink mini skirt combo.)

And as someone else said, overall their performances lacked subtlety and variety - it was full-on with the volume cranked up to 10 practically every time.

Having said that I don't think I would have begrudged either Kellie or Georgia the win as they were both very good and Georgia and Giovanni's final charleston was just fantastic.

It's over run with them. I wonder which of them knows where the bodies are buried at the Beeb?

Time Kev was replaced with a grown up, proper pro dancer.
