But they had that Bond song for their rhumba, would have been to samey IMO

Well thats the most obvious statement !!!! Are we not all discussing how WE felt .??

Loved Jay's fast and loose Charleston; he suits the faster paced dances. The only good bit in his snowdance was the fast hip hop section. Aliona is sketchy with showdance choreography, didn't like Harry's either.

Kellie has built up some serious momentum, best rumba of the series last week and a banger of a showdance. Really didn't like her 40/40 tango, though.

Eh, you might have thought the choreography was flat but you can hardly say that Jay actually danced it poorly

Jay will win tonight. He was getting around 75% on all the polls and #JayfortheGlitterball is trending on twitter.

He didn't dance bad by any stretch of the imagination. It was simply beautiful - I think Aliona misread the 'vibe' - I think she thought his beautiful moves could be best appreciated if she kept it simple. Sometimes the audience want a bit more pazazz - it's a fine line.

Last week Anita and Gleb was all pazazz and no technique or beauty - they paid the price.

It's a balancing act.

There's a fundamental problem with the current format of the final; 'Judges' Choice' tends to deliver dances the contestants don't want to do and the viewers don't want to watch, while show-dances almost always promise more than they deliver. We don't see dances that we want to see until the second half.

Yes, that was my problem with it. It was high energy but made her look an ugly performer with no grace or style

And now she has a Star Wars charleston, which could hardly be more topical. I'm sure Kevin had that in mind when he chose that theme originally.

Agree totally with the bit in bold. It doesn't make for great viewing and needs a re-think.

I thought Jay danced really well but was disappointed that it wasn't a bit more showy. However given he's the only guy left its a difficult comparison all round. Don't think Katy did herself much justice tonight. None of the show dances really wowed me. I do think that the Georgia and Gio partnership is strong. Len looks likes he swallowed a wasps nest at times tonight.

Even tonight with Katie and Anton, in my opinion. That had the most "show" of any of the showdances, but was danced the worst, for me.

I'm watching The Hobbit while I surf this thread. Then I'll be watching the Bridge and looking on here for the spoiler before watching the final!

I have voted tonight and haven't done all series so far. About 30 votes for KAtie and 15 for Georgia! Hope it helps!

Jay's showdance was brutal . Dropped him in on his head and then put aliona in huge yellow granny knickers under her sexy gold dress .
He just regurgitated his previously tried and tested moves and waved his arms around a lot , nothing new other than dropping in on his head and a rictus smile glued to his face .

Absolutely, it was beautifully danced.
