I have to agree. I've been watching on and off and thought I'd tune in for the finals but it really has been disappointing especially the show dances

Totally agree. After such a high standard throughout the series it seems to be running out of steam.

Missing Anita n Gleb. Gleb's choreography would have been amazing !

Well, the judges picks didn't really help this year (2QSs? 3 ballroom and a rhumba?). I think I actually liked Katies showdance best of the bunch. Craig was a bit harsh pointing out the lack of ability, but I didn't mind the concept.

I don't think the judges choices for dances helped things tbh.

But the show dances were awful. Hopefully things pick up and the couples get rockets up their asses.

I respect your right to say so. But it is a matter of taste, and I didn't like it. It was way to frenetic for me, and I am not sure it showed off enough of her talents either.

The judges always pick dances were they feel the celebs can do better, nothing wrong with that idea. I think it is always interesting to see how much better the best ones dance once their all round confidence has improved. I just think there is too much hype involved all round, so the show never quite lives up to people expectations.

Disappointing show dances. Thought they were supposed to be a show stopper. Jay's forgettable, Kellie's just messy, Georgia's good but not spectacular but I loved the dramatic dance from Katie even if it wasn't up to the other's standards. Hope the next dances are better.

I can only agree. Really disappointing. The music choices, apart from Katie's quickstep, were awful. And as for Kellie's 40 showance, I thought that was awful too. Worst final for many years, so far.

I've enjoyed it but went into it with more muted expectations... I didn't expect Jay's showdance to be as good as his jive, or Georgia's to be as good as her tango etc. and therefore I wasn't at all disapointed.

My main gripe is the judges' choice - having underwhelming dances repeated in the final doesn't really make for a spectacular show! Kellie's tango was already good, Jay's quickstep was much improved, and the other two dances I found rather 'meh' both times. I don't blame the contestants for that, its just a silly concept for a final.

Absolutely. In a nutshell. And the series was so promising - up to now.

I agree. I know that's the way it's done, but perhaps they should have a re-think next year. Probably 10m+ viewers looking foward to something really special, and apart from Kellie's show dance it's all been a bit meh. So far the final hasn't been as good as some of the earlier shows in this year's series.

The final has certain;y been a letdown so far. Hope the second part is better.
