Show dance flop
Remember previous show dances Caroline Flack, Darren Gough, Mark ramps, Tom chambers etc - no comparison whatsoever. What's gone wrong this year.
Music, dance choice, judges over/ under marking What a let down |

Well I for once enjoyed them all. Nothing made me cringe, and no contemporary wafting crap. All were actual dances, if not great impact.

Yeah, Kellie and Kevin's was a total mess - and she danced with her gob open the whole time.
Katie wasn't really there either. At least Jay was cool, slick, clever and 2015 - but that might just be too sophisticated for SCD circa 1975. Not that it matters a jot in the end, but we do want to be entertained ... |

Thought Georgia's and Kellie's were good. Katie wasn't good enough a dancer to do hers justice.
Jay's was totally underwhelming. |

I'll remember the Lindyhop train number, but none of the rest!
Natasha Kaplinsky, Flackers, Ramps and Tom Chambers gave us ones to truly remember. What happened to inviting the world showdance/freestyle champs to perform on an SCD Results show to help them set the bar?! (They can be a bit lift-tastic for me though; I did like none of the showdances relying heavily on tricks tonight). |

Jay's music was underwhelming but I thought the dancing was good - in my opinion not as bad as everyone's making out - certainly nothing like the puppets!!!!

I liked Georgia's the best. Though I'm not the biggest Coldplay fan in the world so the music was slightly meh.
Really loved the music for Katie and Anton even though the actual dancing was not good. Didn't like the music or the dancing with Jay and Aliona. I'm ignoring Kellie and Kevin. I have a Lindy Hop phobia. |

Nothing but NOTHING has touched Tom Chambers for me - until K&K's unbelievably amazing Lindyhop.
None of the others came close to what a Showdance should be...with Jay's being the poorest of them all. |

They were all very enjoyable IMO - showdances are often a bit of a letdown anyway. IMO the 'show' can overwhelm the 'dance' and its a dance show first and foremost, so I'm perfectly happy with a bit of subtlety. What I liked was that all four were completely different!

Showdances are often rubbish - hated Karas and Lewis was great but that relied on his gymnast background not dancing. I'm happy to be back to something more secure where error laden routines are less likely.
So I enjoyed Jays and Georgias, probably equally. Kellies was danced the best but the ugly stance of the dance and the distracting train lines meant I wasn't wowed. Katies was dire, dance wise. So, Kellie won it for me, just. |

Lindy Hop is fun - I learned some in a local council night classes with the Jiving Lindyhoppers. Recommended for relaxation, weight loss, etc. And well performed by K&K this evening.

I remember watching Caroline Fkack last year and thinking "is that it?" I didn't get it at all.
