Some of the bitterness on here is so amusing. A worthy winner in my book, and I'm not especially a Jay fan.

The best overall dancer won. Can't say fairer than that.

Jay and Kellie finished with the same amount of points and score average, thought she would have pulled it out the bag with her performances over the past 2 weeks...

Huge congrats to Jay& Aliona!!

Georgia was my choice from day one but I always said all the finalists were winners whichever one lifted the glitterball!!

...of course he is.

He has been brilliant. But Georgia's Charleston tonight was outstanding.

I don't think his dancing improved during the show though - pretty much the same strengths and weaknesses as when he started.

A very worthy and well-deserved winner.

Although I would have had no problem if Georgia had won.

I do like all the couples but we all know if Jay didn't have the ''boyband'' vote, one of the girls would have won....
No, we don't know that. Some people do actually vote for the dances that they enjoy.

I am so pleased for Jay, he was a joy to watch. BTW I am not a groupee but a 67 year old who loves Strictly. Well done Georgia and Kellie, worthy finalists. Sorry they had Ellie Goulding as the final guest, but a geat final. Well done Strictly, roll on Xmas show and next year.

Big shame. Another undeserved male winner

Yes, it's moot anyway. He did win, fair and square.

Never been in the dance off, a big clue, which I must admit I disregarded.

Maybe but we all know Strictly is a popularity contest mostly, the best dancers hardly ever win, in this case all of them where worthy of the trophy but with such a massive fan base behind him, Jay was the favorite from Day 1....

Over the course of the season he is definitely a worthy winner - not so much on the night.

I like Jay and I don't begrudge him winning given his consistency over the series but tonight was not his best, dancewise.

yes, worthy winner, he was undoubtedly one of the best dancers the show has seen, and i do think he loved dance but really seemed to struggle with performance, and excruciatingly shy, all round a bit off a odd bloke, but definitely a worthy winner
Given that the two ladies are actresses it was quite easy for them to cover up flawed technique by acting through it. How many times has Georgia made mistakes and they have said they didn't care just because of her performance. That aspect came a lot harder to Jay so every little mistake he made was critiqued. I was happy for either him orgeorgia to win. Kellie has very little technique though and is just a great performer. Her kicks and flicks in the jive were nowhere near the standard of Jay yet her Jive in the final scored more than Jay's. Her posture in tango was also bad there should be no light between her and partner, but they don't even comment on her technique yet slate every small thing Jay fits wrong even though he's technically the best. He should also be commended for doing Paso instead of taking easy option of jive for his final dance.

If you watch back all his dances you will agree that Jay is most definitely a deserved winner. A good result all round!

On the basis of merit, all round ability, performance, character and ability to produce at the business end of the series I think the wrong person won.
But that is merely my opinion to which I am entitled.
Others will no doubt disagree and I respect their opinion also.
Nobody has died.
The fate of the universe did not depend on the result.
It is what it is. No problem.

I think all three would have been worthy winners, they have all had very high peaks during the series. Kellie couldn't have done more really, with work ethic and performance tonight. Georgia is the cutest thing and my favourite -Craigs West End comment probably the best thing she could have heard.

In the end I think band fans and Mums I think have swung it for Jay. Last on the leaderboard tonight( a touch underwhelming imo tonight) but over the series obviously has been very consistent and in the end it appears just had to avoid a disaster tonight.

Great Great series. Best Light Entertainment show on tv.

Considering that, unlike Kellie, he properly danced the dances he had for the night, yeah. Would have been happy with Georgia, too.

He danced everything beautifully, other than small mistakes in quickstep. The surface just wasn't as showy as one would hope but neither was Georgia's and Kellie's was just another Charleston. The technical content of his show dance was far superior to Kellie's. I lined how they chose to showcase actual dance rather than just have Jay throw her about like Clancy showdance and others I have seen.

They did a good job on the series as a whole but as other people have said they were definitely not the best on the final, and the win just feels so anti climatic considering they obviously had it sewn up in Week 3 and the other couples might as well have gone home then

Still, there have been much worse winners and we could have had a much worse result tonight (imagine if Katie won? )

Absolutely deserved winner for me throughout the whole competition has been the most consistent, the most technically excellent and the one that I've had the most joy watching.
Having said that, I wouldn't have been disappointed if either Georgia or Kellie won though either as they've both performed some fabulous routines.
Georgia's Charleston is my second favourite dance of the series after Jay's rumba.
