Guessing you mean Louis Smith the gymnast and not Louie Spence the guy who appears on DOI?
And overall I disagree with you, Jay has proved to be consistently the best technically gifted male dancer this show's ever had.
I only knew Max George was in The Wanted because he had a guest stint on Glee during the final series of that show, never heard of Jay McGuinness but from the moment he stepped out and danced that waltz he won my heart and my vote for his incredibly lyrical dancing and simply stunning technique.
I couldn't care less if he doesn't gurn like he's projecting to the back row of a West End theatre and I find it baffling when he's described as emotionless on the dance floor to be honest. He dances with his whole body and soul as far as I'm concerned.

Jay's showdance was a perfect demonstration of a show dance - it showed what he'd learnt to dance during the series' run and it was segued together into a clever routine from Aliona to mix up so many different dance styles.
It's what we used to get for showdances in the first few series' of the show until TBTB decided to start throwing the lift-tastic showdance variants at the viewers and it became a habit to just chuck your cleb around as much as possible or dance something at 150mph in a frenetic style ala Chris Hollins' Charleston.
