I don't recall any of the 13 finals having a surprise winner. By that point it's pretty damn obvious who is going to win.

Tell you what. Have their photos up for week 1.
Week 2 photos of them as babies.
Week 3 sick or better still dead Nans grt wheeled out.
Week 4 vox pops with loveable rough diamonds off the street.
Then everyone could vote for their favourite.
Sorted.

Louis scored the same as Kimberley in the final, it's not a bit like tonight.

You have no evidence at all to back up your unpleasant allegations. Collective plan? Whose? Where was this collective(listen very carefully I shall say this only once) plan devised? Who organised it? When did the meetings take place and where?

In my opinion Kellie was the best on the night and the Judges were also of that view. The great viewing public thought otherwise. End of story.

Now this is an idea, pitch it to the producers please!

I just can't discount the number of times you crammed the word 'numbers' into one sentence.

Unless your favourite starts goose stepping and saluting in the middle of the dance, you aren't going to change your vote.
So my question is, why bother with the final?”

no point

Of course it is.Inferior dancer wins easily over other two because he has a penis.

Final marks in 2012:

Denise: 39, 40, 40
Kimberley: 39, 39, 40
Louis: 39, 40, 39

Same marks as Kimberley and one point behind Denise. Whatever about being inferior to TRAINED DANCER Denise, his marks were the same as Kimberley's (who was awarded a perfect score in the semi for a Charleston that MY untrained eye spotted mistakes in).

The Olympic factor helped but he wasn't inferior to either of the girls on the night.

In previous years there have been boring finals with only 2 couples doing multiple dances each to fill in the time, so this year we were lucky enough to have 4 finalists. The 12 voted out contestants were delighted to be back for their old school reunion and excellent group dance to finish things off in style. The guest singer had a really weak voice - that's my only negative remark, apart from Dave Arch starting "O Fortuna" off too slow.

Tonight, it was a very joyful show, the dancing of high quality (tho some choreography was criticised) and one of the top 3 won, a laid-back pop star and a visibly astonished and moved pro. Such a welcome contrast with Caroline Flack of last year.

With this send-off they will all go off to a huge party to celebrate.

And that is why they held a Series final.”

Aliona astonished & moved - she knew she was going to win with Jay like all of us knew so I hate to think what her reaction would have been had they lost.

He's been consistent, it's not like he is a terrible dancer who totally didn't deserve to win, the show dance not being 'Wow!' was more down to Aliona than him, he danced it well. He's obviously got fans of the Wanted behind him and people like me supported him because of his overall adorableness. I know, I know that people will say 'It's a dance show, you vote for the best on the night!' but for me he's been the reason I kept watching the series this year so no matter what the women did, and they did an amazing job, they weren't getting my vote.”

Tom was winning before the final let alone the show dance. He just acquired a female vote, that didn't vote for the best dancer. And he had had that showdance in his kit bag since drama school. Darren's at least had a journey story going for him.

Or the judges job is to mark who they think is the best regardless of the public vote. I rather like the fact that they don't pander to the public actually.

It depends how you view it. We all know its a popularity contest in the end, but we need to have one - it would be a bit ridiculous cancelling it - I always enjoy the show and it has to come to an end. Also, although some years (like this one) we know who the winner is going to be from week 4, its not always like that - it can be tight and unpredictable in other years - and the dances on the night can make a difference sometimes.

And it still can be enjoyable, even if you know who's going to win. I knew Jay had it in the bag from about week 4. I still looked forward to the final and really enjoyed it, even though I support Georgia and knew she had no chance of winning regardless of what she did on the night. I wanted her to get through to the final 3, perform 3 good dances, get to do her Charleston again and get 40 this time. She did it, Shes learned so much and showed everyone what shes capable of over the weeks. Winning the popularity vote is outwith her control - but for me she achieved everything else that she possibly could. I still really enjoyed the final and didn't mind seeing Jay win at all - probably because (like Kevin said) I don't consider coming top in popularity with the public vote (who vote for a variety of different reasons - many unrelated to dance and performance) as the most important thing, given what they have gone through and achieved already - although its a nice thing to get.

I think there is. A stunning showdance can change things, particularly with a lot of swing voters, which I'm sure some seasons have.

The year Abbey Clancy won being a case in point. I suspect few would have bet on Natalie making the final 3 over Sophie, but she did.

final should be decided the same as any other week. I agree Katie danced better than Jay on the night and still placed lower and Jay on the dancing on the night should have gone before Katie and the judes marked Jay higher becuase they need their eyes testing

What is with some of you FMs asking for evidence when somebody has an opinion?
