Miming perhaps - but probably not singing.

Her doing so was in keeping with the 60s theme of the song, I would say - but for my own tastes, I prefer proper Tango music for tangos and proper Paso music for pasos.

I don't like the way that Strictly shoehorns certain pieces of music into the show, whether they are appropriate or not... and this seems to happen most often with Tangos and Pasos.

Everyone needs to get over themselves.
I find it laughable that folk will try to lampoon every opposing celeb or pro who dares to oppose their favourite.
Especially those who are seen as a threat to their favourite winning. It is the height of childish and pathetic behaviour which brings about accusations of judge bias, fix and people not voting for the right reasons.
Enough already. Grow up or go and watch something else and spare us the conspiracy theories and anti opposition tripe. Ok you have your favourites, thats fine but don't continuously try to make out that every low score for your favourite is obvious undermarking while every high score for the opposition is evidence of judge bias.
Enough of this 'my fave is a saintly being with no faults' while everyone else is overrated, smug, fake, arrogant, OTT and overly competitive.
Grow up for goodness sake people!!.
Honestly I despair sometimes I really do.

Well said!

It really is a load of nonsense and has ruined the forum this year.

This is what grates for me - the inconsistency. And my favourites in past and present have benefited from it as much as fallen foul. But I swear the judges have criticised others for 'miming' whilst dancing and yet yesterday? Nothing.

Though I guess they were consistent with 'smiling' through the Tango/Paso Doble yesterday... or at least three of them were.

It was the final - they were all so excited and happy to be there - I think they were simply having the time of their lives.

I guess the judges decided to cut them some slack.

watched it on catch up as was out and heres what i think..

Jay was undermarked wasnt his fault the showdance was boring as hell he danced it well
Len is Kevins godfather and it smacked of him playing favs
was glad Craig said that about a job to Georgia think he knows shes been badly undermarked this series including by himself, feeling guilty maybe?
love kellie but jay was a better dancer, technique etc so if youre moaning saying the best dancer should have won.. then youre wrong the best dancer did win. JAY,

..hooray! Oh how much I agree! I wanted to share in the joy of this show but no matter what thread I went onto, it deteriorated into bitter, sour posts about fixing and downright rudeness (and lies eg about Len being Kevin's godfather). PLEASE let the childish sourpusses watch another show next year - I can't remember it being like this last year

You must despair every year then, because the board doesn't seem any different to me today than it does after any other SCD final. I'm not sure why so many people are outraged at all the conspiracy theories as they happen every year too. I just don't get where all this super-sensitivity has come from. Has there suddenly been a mass migration from the attic?

You should have seen it the year Lisa Snowdon was on SCD (Series 6) it was utter carnage on these boards.

I'm not sure - I don't think there's been the same divide or passion in other recent series as there has been this year. It has happened before though; as said, Series Six was chronic for it.

The bizarre thing is that the majority of people crying Fix seem to support the winner.

It's bonkers!

When Jamelia went out it was 'the judges should hang their heads in shame'. Now again 'the judges should hang their heads in shame' but -- bizarrely -- it's because they responded favourably to the best dances they saw on the night.

It feels as though in some quarters there's a pride in nursing a grievance at the same time as celebrating the victory.”

Well there's a fairly large difference in that the Judges are supposed to be impartial, unbiased and voting for the best performance in the Dance Off whereas Joe Public is told, repeatedly, to vote for their favourite dancer.

what? you mean the favourable running order, the whooping of the clifton clan/celebs/pro dancers for 'tens' in the gallery, the gushing tens for imperfect dances...you mean that wasn't a coincidence??

It is weird, it really is no different to any other year on here, there are always plenty of sour grapes around and those who have been here for years know this. In fact, I don't think it has been that bad, well apart from all the nastiness thrown at Peter Andre.

They did the same with everyone's performances though, the audience reaction isn't really an accurate reflection of quality. They respond to a great performance irrespective of whether they're technically right or not.

This year? It happens every year. This year's been absolutely mild in comparison to previous years. You should have seen the boards (and back then the official BBC SCD forum) during Kelly Brook's year

But of course! Everyone likes to think their favourite was an underdog who overcame the odds/the mean old judges/rigging thanks to the power of their righteous fans.

I do find it amusing that when a high scoring celeb loses their high scores are used as proof inviolate that they should have in fact won. When a high scoring celeb WINS however, the fact that they were the Judges Favourite never gets brought up by their fans...
