He deserves to. I would say Anton and Brendon are letting the inexperienced cocky one have his way for now. Hes got a lot to learn about life yet and that includes being prepared to take the downs with the ups. Lets see how he handles it then

Depends on the fibre of the contestant he eats.

He's certainly due a duffer or token older lady next year.

I think it could be the making of him actually.

He'd certainly have to dial the franticness down a little

Hilarious if he did get a duffer and they were hugely popular, surviving for weeks and scything down good dancers and forum favourites like Boadicea's chariot.

never ceases to amaze me the comments re kevin on this forum - if there is small older lady I am sure he will get her and be gracious and do his best. What you forget he comes from a dancing background has been around dance and taught dance for years and believe me people coming to dance schools come in all shapes and sizes.

He may be less experienced that Anton and Brendan in terms of the show but in terms of dancing he has many years behind him AND achieved more in both latin and ballroom

I expect he'll work at teaching his partner to fulfil her potential, whatever limits she brings to the show.

And I have to be plain and say I find 'fat dollop' a pretty poor way to describe (and dismiss) someone. Bloody hell... Mark Benton is the definition of fat dollop if you're going to be so trivial but he carried real emotion in his dances. Movement isn't only about flexibility, muscle, agility... It's also about feeling, spirit, meaning

He is due a contestant of a lower calibre, but what an achievement by him to be runner-up three times in a row.

Looking at his trouser situation in his showdance he's got a pretty fat dollop already...

I would say Kevin would be more Kristina and Pasha than Aliona and Brendan if he got a duffer.

To be fair was Kellie honestly seen as a potential finalist? It's not like he was handed Helen or Georgia! With her workload they probably thought she'd burn out before the final. She did brilliantly to keep up the momentum.

And who could they have paired him with. Carol was a weaker dancer but Pasha won last year so fully reasonable for him to get the weakest contender. After that all the females basically showed promise from the off.

The sooner people accept that Kevin (and his family) are just good at their jobs, the happier they will be.

With acceptance comes peace, and all that.

Fair point. But a bit tall for Kevin maybe? She's 5ft 5; Kellie's 5ft.

I bloody loved Mark Benton. Still do.

I actually think Kevin would be absolutely fine with a duffer. He puts the hours in and seems to get on very well with all his partners. I'd like to see how he approaches it. I have a feeling I might like him better when it doesn't look like he could have a cat in hell's chance. That certainly happens with his wife. I like her far better when she doesn't have a hope in hell of getting anywhere near the final. Pasha was fine with Carol - I have no reason to think that Kevin wouldn't be just as solicitous in a similar situation.

I think a lot of pros get more support after they've danced with a 'duffer'. Natalie's popularity on here didn't really take off until she performed with Audley and Michael (though I think it started to grow whilst she was with Scott).
