Just finished watching the final on demand and totally agreed that this moment was the highlight - more specifically her much deserved 40, but definitely the fact that she had convinced Craig of her super-talented abilities...

Every one of her dances(& her VT's) were emotionally convincing and superbly executed - Georgia was by far the winner of the night and the series (and the only one who Craig absolutely loved as he said several times throughout the weeks including his comments on the last VT the judges did).

To be loved by Craig must be in a superior league of its own!

She's a little Bobby Dazzler and I hope she goes on to make millions.
One of the most "natural" celebs around.

He's right, she certainly has the ability to start a new career on stage.

It was an amazing moment for her! Considering quite a few weeks ago when giving his verdict of all the contestants Craig said that Georgia was good but didn't excite him!

It was the moment of the night for me and she should feel like a winner even without the glitterball!

Georgia is a star in the making, and a very public job offer from Craig will do her chances no harm at all. I can see a big future for her. She has already established herself as a good actress; now we have seen what a good dancer she is. I wonder what her singing voice is like.

It was a wonderfully touching moment, and a fitting offer to someone who really danced well and showed plenty of emotion in each of the three dances.

She was the real winner last night.

It was great but I hope he meant it as she was so excited by it.
I think he did, because when she said "Really?" he reaffirmed it with a little nod. I hope it does come to fruition - it obviously meant a lot to her and why wouldn't it?

Craig is no fool - he is directing the Strictly Tour so presumably will already have been "eyeing her up" for future roles.

He may even have tested her for singing by now.

In the next year he will have her in a show of some kind - probably a Tour to start with (less pressure than a West End show)..
She will put bums on seats

I agree.

As for the singing, I'm sure there was a VT earlier in the series when she said that she couldn't hold a tune in a bucket......And then proved it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Only if it's quick enough. As I said previously, Craig has the Sister Act Tour coming up. That's his only chance to cash in on it. Caroline made a big mistake going for X Factor this year. She should've been on tour in a big show. Georgia didn't even win. We'll see what happens. I hope she can sing. I know she can act Mary Bob but singing it is much harder.

Moment of the night for me, especially her reaction, it was better then Jay and Aliona after the winner was announced. You could see just how much it meant to her.

That dance is amazing, a complete piece of a dance, she actually dances it better then Gio and he looks like the celeb in it. A real moment for her.

Craig is right though, she would be amazing on the stage, she is a great dancer and she sells it to the audience too.
The only question, as others have said, is can she sing? You need to be a triple threat to star in a west end show, but it can happen from SCD, as others have said Jill went onto shows and Tom Chambers starred in top hat.

That was the dance of the night for me and she should be so proud of herself, from where she started I didn't think she was capable of anything like that.

having slept on it, this morning i find myself thinking that georgia was my winner on the night because she gave us such a beautifully shaped programme.

her rumba was fantastic, not a dance that is often done well but it was so lovely and lyrical and intense amongst what were otherwise all rather fast (even frantic) dances. they stepped it up with the show dance which was a beautiful exposition of her dance abilities with just enough added, unusual content to show us something different, and she finished with her charleston, the coolest and slickest and most sassy of all the final choices. lovely programme, lovely person, lovely partnership.

What a moment .
Craig saying to Georgia he would be proud to put her in any of his West End shows. One of the loveliest things he has said to any contestant.

That was lovely, very rewarding for her.

Fabulous comment! Completely agree with every word. In a way Georgia's dances were as unexpected and un-final-like as Jay's were (her first two, at any rate) but the chemistry, or something -- the connection between the two Gs -- drew you in to their world and changed the pace of the night. I'm impressed by the Char-less-ton but absolutely loved the rumba and many elements of the showdance

Georgia may not have taken home the glitterball and been crowned the Strictly champion, but she won in the eyes of many people. She was the best dancer on the night, and the most consistent dancer throughout the series. She has personality in spades, and has the whole of her career ahead of her.

By next September, no one will remember that Jay won. He'll have disappeared.

Within a few years, Georgia will be on Broadway, winning Tony awards.

The "White cat" in Cats is a non-singing but dancing part.

If the West End (revamped) show needs a boost they could stick her in that !!

Agree - and to finish the show with her favourite dance and getting the perfect score was a fitting way to end for her. She has improved so much both with the technicalities in ballroom as well as in performance. Shes never disappointed, always delivered, put her heart and soul into the competition - with great routines and fabulous partnership. A job proposal was the cherry on top - but I can totally understand why Craig would take her on.

It was a sweet comment but I a bit of hyperbole, I suspect.

She's a beautiful young woman and I enjoyed watching her dance, but there are a lot of triple threats with loads of stage experience competing for jobs. Excelling on a reality show isn't the same as delivering commanding stage performances night after night.

I know that West End was the cherry but I loved his reasons even more, where he spoke about truth, integrity and creativity in performance. That shows the measure of Craig as well as being a wonderful comment on the dances she and Gio came up with, and what they brought to them.

Both the rumba and the showdance went against the electric atmosphere of a final, like Jay's showdance did. The difference is that GG took you with them despite the unexpected interior and complex feeling of both routines

I hated that Rumba, it was too stilted and basically a pose fest with hardly any walks or steps and I found her showdance a bit meh tbh. I loved her Charleston though

She is lovely and I wish her well in all she does but I am not sure she can sing and also I do not think she has much of a stage presence which must be a requirement for the West End shows.

Yes I guess that is how Lisa Riley felt. I am a tad sick of Craig tbh....sometimes less is more but unless you can gurn for England he is not interested. After all these years of watching him tear people to shreds for not living up to what he thinks is the right way I am finally done with him.

What a surprising and genuine moment. It was most likely the most wanted/appreciated praise for Georgia
