Do you work for The Mirror? Why on earth would you ask this? I would be amazed if that got answered.

The information that I provided you with is based on facts, I understand it if you decide to discard it as a rumor, What you see on TV is not all necessarily true.

There is always that competitive spirit among the pros and there will always be minor signs of jealousy between them, it's all part of the game like any other job I guess, but Aliona does not even eat with the rest of the crew, she knows she is not liked and she avoids any contact if at all possible, she even had problems with the producer in charge of running the final, with so much stress on her shoulders she ended up crying after Aliona went all celebrity on her.

Aliona's song choice for one of the dances of the night was also a problem that took Louise and others by surprise, as it was a choice for all its intended purpose to highlight the drug related intentions hidden in the lyrics. All the pros and some on stage personnel were surprised that Strictly had approved the song to begin with, only to later find out that the production team had been made fools of by Aliona. by the way all actions had the stamp of approval of "poor-nervous-benign Jay".”

Where you getting this supposed 'facts' from??

The song choice to me was more of a cheeky nod to the 'Jay shows no emotion on his face' story with the title.
Maybe she didn't want to play along with the shows games and wanted to do want was true to both her and Jay with regards to the dancing. Doesn't make her bitchy, I admire her for that, she has her own mind. There is plenty of the pros who were happy for her to win again so she's hardly disliked

If she does eat on her own because she knows people don't like her (jealously springs to mind) I can't blame her. I have been in situations where I've had to distant myself because of other people's perceptions of me, it's not a nice environment to be in.

Jay is as lovely as he seems, always has been.

Because it's being discussed on other threads and it would be nice to know if it's just something the tabloids are making up or not.

I don't get this bit

The lyrics are fairly benign so any allusion to drugs would probably go straight over the heads of most of the Strictly audience. There also hasn't been a problem with featuring other songs about with drug related associations in the past (Golden Brown is the one that springs immediately to mind) not to mention the use of songs like Cell Block tango which are about murder!

Seeing as Jay and Aliona also dressed as characters from Pulp Fiction, presumably with the full backing of the show's producers, I think that unless they are attempting to subliminally promote drug use through the medium of dance then this example is a bit a storm in a teacup

But don't they all eat on their own from time to time?

Jeremy has posted pictures of the live show schedules on his blog and everyone is allocated a lunch break but they don't all coincide with each other.

Although I suppose the other poster could mean at pro rehearsals.

I like Aliona as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. As for her personality, obviously I've never met her but even if the reputation alleged above is true, I'd still sooner have an honest Aliona who says what she thinks and sticks to what she believes in, than her being fake.
I said on a thread earlier today that it's so disappointing that yet again, there are posts going further than just critiquing dancing, choreography etc and criticising people on a personal level.

I would say while Aliona's critics are still bitching, she is (rightly) still celebrating.

But some of the pro's who are not supposed to like her are sending her congratulations via twitter.

This time 15 weeks or so ago i was firmly in the 'i don't like her, find her cold, hard and selfish' camp. I was annoyed to see her invited back and i was genuinely gutted when she was paired with Jay, who i thought had potential.

Fast forward to today and i'm now a super fan who feels ashamed of my earlier perception of her and completely baffled as to why i ever thought the way i did. I think she's been a dancing, choreographing, teaching genius this year and i'm totally in awe of her.

There was nothing between Aliona and Jay, only the natural attraction felt by young Jay to gorgeous Aliona.

I have always though that Aliona seems aloof. If Jay had been partnered with anyone else I feel that he maybe would have had a less intense but more fun partnership with maybe Natalie or Oti. Aliona came across as very possessive from day 1, these are obviously only my opinions.

I can't feel my face has been used on the American version of Strictly for one of the contestants. Sorry but I think you're talking utter garbage.

Jay is a very nice guy, he is just not as naive as he comes across.

When did he ever come across as naive? Nervous at times and tongue tied maybe but never naive.

Actually Aliona is excactly as you describe, I would go as far as to say that she is the very definition of the word, the problem is that too much honesty also create nasty and problematic people and sooner or later will affect all relationships. Let's just say that she is honest and unfriendly which has nothing to do with her role on the show.

Jay naive? Nah. Don't think any of his fans would think he is, nor he has been portrayed as one.

let's not get into semantics, I meant he played his natural nervousness to a T.

Nice guy, without a doubt. Shy/nervous, definitely. Naive..... I highly doubt it.

He "played" it? Hmmm. So maybe together they "played" the fauxmance card. If so, they wouldn't be the first and I wouldn't be surprised. A bit disappointed in him though I guess. (her not so much - she must have been watching Kristina be rewarded and never penalised for such like)
