According to tonight's scores her Jive was better than Jay's. Her kicks and flicks were not sharp, and I think her performance was a bit overegged and cheesy. In what universe is her Jive better than Jay's. Maybe in a galaxy far, far away.

She didn't dance a Jive tonight so I guess it wasn't better after all...

She didn't do a jive.

Neither did Jay, for that matter.

Which show were you watching?

I thought her stsr wars thing was jive? Was it Charleston? So she did two Charlestoney jives then? I meant in comparison to Jay's score earlier in the series for his jive.

No, they did a Lindy Hop based showdance and then they did a Charleston.

They did not do a jive.

This is one of my favourite posts ever. I love that you slipped into a parallel universe and watched a different show to everyone else.

To be honest, sometimes I feel like I'm watching a different show to everyone else too

Maybe not a parallel universe.... but certainly a galaxy far, far away.

Will we find Peter's "jive" there?

Oh dear. At least this thread confirms to me that posts you made in other threads were equally nonsensical.

Hopefully Peter joins it , and stays there

I think that probably vanished into a wormhole some time ago.

Oh, their show dance seemed more like a Charleston with bits of jive and her Charleston more like a bad jive to me. Must be under some kind of Jedi mind control induced by only being able to stare at her sinewy legs or Georgia's bewbs.

Well, I'm glad I've confirmed I was watching the wrong show, now the scores make more sense.

Maybe you ought to watch more often then, so you'll be able to identify dances from their content in future.

I'm not a dancer but from watching Strictly over the years, I can usually identify most dances accurately now.

Why don't you join the other Jay fans and actually have fun and celebrate the win rather than taking a last attempt to make out he was hard done by? He WON. Your nasty comments about the runners up are just sad.

Edit - And interesting you decided to reword your comment about Georgia's breasts.

My phone typed the wrong word. So sorry. As I've said in other threads I'd have happily seen Georgia win too, just feel Kelly is all performance little style and many of her dances have seemed bizarre to me.
He won but apparently only due to wanted fans and not anyone appreciating his lovely dancing according to these forums. Sorry if you feel offended by any of my comments. It's all just panto anyway after all

Yes. Lindy Hop is related to the Charleston, but I think it's quite easy to tell them apart.

I found her Charleston similar to jive in content and given some of her bizarre dances that weren't really like the dance I was confused. I

Still two rather similar dances to do in the final, would have liked to see some more variety.. I quite enjoyed her quickstep, would have rather seen that again, personally.

Well, with respect, that would appear to be a shortcoming associated with your lack of knowledge of the content of each dance, rather than Kellie's lack of ability to dance what had been choreographed for her and taught by her partner - a previous international dance champion.

But I suppose Jay doing a dance filled with steps he'd already learned over the series is the epitome of variety?

Kellie learnt a whole new style, along with practising two dances she'd done before, while juggling a demanding job and a family life. I think what she produced was outstanding.

Her Lindy hop wasn't as good as Jay's jive ... though it out scored it! Lindy is quite an ugly dance or it was the way they danced it. Kellie is pretty amazing though when it comes to performance. We've never really seen her run out of energy like Helen did at the end of her Charleston. In Kellie's paso she got back up on the table near the end ... no trouble. But her dances lacked finesse for me ... they're very visually noisy and busy.

I think Jay's show dance was only ok. He danced what he was given well.I was noneplussed with all of them.
I just found the two routines rather similar so shoot me. I personally don't really enjoy seeing her do that kind of style as her legs look clumpy to me and not very sharp. I'd have rather seen her do something vastly different.
Other contestants have juggled the same but been superior dancers. If everyone felt the same the world would be dull.
Probably overall somewhere betwceen performance and technique Georgia should have won but I felt the judges were always harsher to Jay about technique but never critiqued Kellie's due to her performance element.

The other thing you need to bear in mind is it was the final and only the public vote counted, so Kevin would choreograph the best routines to wow the public into voting for them.
