And I think Kellies Charleston was better than Georgia's. Georgia's was very "look what I can do" whereas Kellies was simple and completely in time. To quote Darcey - "perfection".”

Correct people didn't pick up the phone and vote for them ...

I'll give her the showdance because, while it wasn't to my taste, it did what showdances probably should do. Wow the masses.

In the third round, Georgia and Jay whooped her arse imo.

So no, for me Kellie was not robbed. She performed well but the scores over-inflated a good performance.”

I agree. I'm still baffled at how they completely ignored her poor posture in hold on the Tango, and yet Craig couldn't be bothered to give Jay a ten for his Paso for no reason.

Fortunately, neither did the incorrect people

Kellie did extremely well to get to the final but for me there was just something missing. She doesn't have the grace that Georgia does and whilst their showdance was high paced and in your face, to me it just seemed messy but then the lindyhop/charleston aren't 'clean' dances so I guess I am being very picky.

Considering she was in the bottom two twice she did well to make it to the final so she should be proud of herself.

Kellies done very well in the comp but jay georgia or helen were my deserving 3 finalists.”

My final 4 would have been those 3 and Anita I wouldn't even had Kelly in the final

to pick up on a comment Craig made. I could happily have watched Georgia or Jay all day and I really enjoyed Helen and Anita's dances ( and also for different reasons Jeremy ) none of Kelly's dances had me reaching for the rewind to watch again except possibly the one that wasn't a Viennese waltz but was very good.

My favourite to watch was Georgia but I am happy with Jay winning Kelly just didn't excite me
In any case the final wasn't exactly fair
The judges gave GG a rumba a dance that never in the whole history of Strictly has got a 40 and they gave KK a tango which generally scores much better that's leaving aside one small wobble meant GG got 36 points but KK less that perfect Tango got the full 40 that annoyed me a lot.
Also as others have mentioned Kelly basically did 2 charleston and neither were close to as good as the one by Georigia. No one did a proper show dance and so the judges marked down Jay and Georgia but gave full marks to Kelly for not doing a show dance either how did that work?

As an aside I. Wish Gleb and Anita had been in the final as they would have done a proper show dance

To summarise though The Judges wanted Kelly to win for some reason and over marked her in the final. The general public preferred Jay and I can see why even though personally I had a very slight preference for Georgia.

No one was robbed ( except Helen and Anita in previous weeks )

Anyone would think, reading this thread, that Jay was of Chris Hollins standard at best whereas Kellie was the best dancer on the show - including the pros. This is complete rubbish as, going into the final, Jay's average score from the judges was higher than Kellie's (and Georgia's) and only the final marks drew Kellie level.

People criticise the relative quality of the dance but maybe the truth is people did prefer Jay and Aliona's dances to Kellie and Kevin's? Whilst I can understand people preferring Kellie's showdance to Jay's I thought, as already said, Georgia and Jay were both stronger in both the Judges choice and Couples choice. And I'm sure many others did as well.

That doesn't make me menopausal. That doesn't make me a Wanted obsessive. That doesn't mean I fancy him or Aliona. That's just what I think and I would prefer others not to sneer, patronise and make up excuses simply because they didn't get their own way.

I voted for Kellie. I'm disgusted that the worst dancer in the final three won. Even Aliona had the grace to look astonished.

Yes over all Jay was the best but, he was not the best last night. Very sad people voted for their favourites Ladt night another for the best.

Very well said Fudd.

It's debateable that Kellie was even 'best' on the night.

Certainly a matter of taste, and Jay is a very worthy winner. The best dancer and the pest performance in the Paso, on the night, for me.

He wasn't the 'worst dancer'. His showdance wasn't to the judges taste, his QS was much trickier than that strange, overcooked week ONE Tango, and his Paso was superior to the Star Wars Charleston, which was nice and tight, but hardly difficult or 'wow' (especially compared to G and G's, which went out of time at the end).

Kellie woznotrobbed, Jay is a wonderful, lyrical dancer and a worthy winner.

Didn''t Jay say the public picked a ''worthy winner'', If Kellie would have won and made those comments the forums would go into meltdown with insults left, right and centre.

Well said this is just why I could never warm to Kellie, no decorum at all.

She danced a lindyhop. Ghastly dance. I can just about get through a charleston but I'd never vote for anyone who lindyhops.

To me this makes no sense. How is it even possible that the viewers were robbed? People voted for their favourite, and for the majority of them that favourite was Jay. So it follows that he and Aliona deserved their win because that's how the final is decided.

To be honest I think if anyone was robbed (I don't think that) it was Georgia.

The only things Kellie has been robbed of is looks and a personality. Beyond that, nope.

Its a good job we live in a democracy and not North Korea. I don't think Kellie despite her experience was exciting in the least. I couldn't stand watching her.”

Kellie, as I assume you're referring to her, wasn't a professional dance teacher. She taught drama for a couple of years at Sylvia Young and is patron and guest teacher at a Bournemouth Stage School opened by her friend.
