Well there was one the first year questioning how the hell Chris Parker got into the final in the first place

I blame Danny Dyer, the guy is probably loaded and could of easily paid an army of minions to vote en masse for his "L" and get her the win. She deserved it after all, according to him.

So the public robbed the public of their rightful winner?

I don't even think she was the best on the night. In the last round she was completely outclassed by both Jay and Georgia.

People criticise the relative quality of the dance but maybe the truth is people did prefer Jay and Aliona's dances to Kellie and Kevin's? Whilst I can understand people preferring Kellie's showdance to Jay's I thought, as already said, Georgia and Jay were both stronger in both the Judges choice and Couples choice. And I'm sure many others did as well.

That doesn't make me menopausal. That doesn't make me a Wanted obsessive. That doesn't mean I fancy him or Aliona. That's just what I think and I would prefer others not to sneer, patronise and make up excuses simply because they didn't get their own way.”

Well said.

The final was decided by public vote (and always has been) and not by the judges opinions. Jay and Aliona won because more people enjoyed their dancing and thus cast their votes. Quite simple really

usual papers looking for their usual angle on Strictly ** yawn**

I never took to Kelly & Kevin - just never enjoyed their wacky stompy dancing. If Jay wasn't the winner - which I an happy about, I'd have preferred Georgia,

There were four couples, each of whom would've been someone's favourite.

Therefore whoever won will ave three sets of other supporters screaming "It's a fix" " the best dancer didn't win"

Accordingly, any of these "my favourite was best and didn't win" threads should start

In my opinion …….

I'd be very surprised if Georgia wasn't second on the night

Not robbed at all - not a popular couple being in the dance off twice tells you that.”

Popular in the studio last night though...tell you the truth until the result was announced (and i admit I was surprised.. it seemed like jay and ali had done their level best to give the others a chance) I thought it had been fixed for KK TO WIN......jay going on first, kellie going on last/lastbut one (again), the clifton 'clan'/pro dancers/other celebs chanting for 'tens' and 'kellie' from the gallery.....blimey jay even dropped the jive and still won the public vote with three bloody judges against him!!

I should imagine that the dire Dyer probably lost her some votes when he said that she deserved to win.

Kellie didn't win because more people decided to spend their money on voting for Jay and Aliona. It is a simple concept and the ridiculous "furore" over fix claims in the papers is utterly ludicrous,

Though also, people who have watched most or all of the series do base their votes on the finalists' performances in the series as a whole, as well as in the final. Perhaps if Kellie had danced during the series to the standard she did in the final, she might have won, but it was always going to be an uphill struggle because the standard of her dances was a bit variable. Also, she was in the dance-off twice, and it's rare for someone who's been in the dance-off to win over someone who hasn't.

but was kellie? half the series she was insignificant....in the bottom two twice..yeah she did well the last 2 weeks, though massively inflated by the judges last night... but its arguable had she won there would be more people upset by the overall result.

correct, and to be fair to them aliona made this exact point on red button.

Very, very well said.

If we can take the sexist, patronizing comments out of the equation, please? I think us old ladies who had never heard of The Wanted before and who do still have all our faculties would appreciate it.

She really wasn't ..... she was in two dance offs so lucky to be there at all. Without the judge's save ... she may well have gone home earlier!

How rude. Comment on the dancing by all means, but personal comments like that are unnecessary.

Honestly just laughing at some of the posts on here today. Would you like some cheese with your whine?

Kellie wasn't robbed of anything (and I say that as someone who voted for her & Kevin in part one of the final). She was lucky to even get to the final in the first place having been in two dance offs and clearly not having a great deal of public support prior to the semi final. I'm glad she did get there in the end, but it was a clear indicator that she wasn't the most popular person on the show.

She was great in part one of the final, but the worst of the 3 in part two (her dancing the charleston straight after Georgia really showed up her techinical deficiencies). She was no more deserving that either of the other two and the public clearly didn't like her as much as Jay and quite possibly not as much as Georgia either. Thems the breaks on a voted-for-by-the-public reality show.

Wow, you really are horrible for saying that. Kellie is attractive and incredibly down to earth. Not to mention a phenomenal actress and an amazing dancer. I'm pretty sure she's doing extremely well in life too. She's a genuine person and it's really horrible of you to be so low. Shame on you.
