Just been reading the comments on the Daily Mail page. What a breath of fresh air that the best rated comments are those accusing the judges of bias and applauding the public for not falling for it, Stark facts: Jay was not in one DO, Kellie was in two. Jay was more well liked than Kellie. Humility and modesty took Jay a long way. People don't like being told what to do and who to vote for and those 4 did that implicitly. It back fired so no she wasn't robbed, but Jay would have been if ALL the GBP were sheep.

Glad to see that people are speaking out against the rubbish they are printing. They just pick up titbits from twitter and forums like this and think it represents the whole of the country. Glad Jay isnt taking any notice of them.

I was convinced that Jay would lose because of that pitiful showdance. The song wasn't great, the choreo was just a mix of what he's done before. Guess I underestimated his public support. I did not think he deserved to win based on his dancing, but he is really likeable so I'm happy for him. I would have loved to have seen the jive again though.
Georgia danced really well in the final, though I didn't really like her rumba. Her charleston was the best dance of the night. Kellie for me danced the best in the final, but maybe she is the least likeable. Her tango was really good and technical as well. Love that she did something completely different with the lindy hop showdance. Her charleston was very good but lacking something that could compete with Georgia's charleston. I did feel there was too much side by side going on. |

I'm sorry but I cannot understand why his show dance was classed as boring. Louis Smith got his top off and lifted Flavia above him and that was still criticised. I really hope Aliona knew she couldn't do right for doing wrong so stuck with her gut instincts. Take Bruno saying their SD was a cop out yet had they danced their jive, that too would have been perceived as a cop out. I'm glad she stood by her principles. however, the pathway had already been cleared in week 1. The simple fact is This couple reminded us that you don't have to be loud, brash and full on to deliver a show. What I'm most disgusted with is that a medley of dances, danced in unison, should be described as safe by judges. A and J did was was right for them and they proved their choices, in their entirety, were good ones.

I think she danced better but it's never been a proper dance competition so I don't see her as being robbed of anything. People obviously found Jay more entertaining (although I couldn't see it personally

AS for the other two, georgia's showdance sort of petered out after the blindfold went, while the kellie lindy hop was a mad attempt to persuade the judges it was a wow moment...it worked. |

They stuck to their guns, did what THEY wanted, not the judges....I thought it might cost them...it didn't. |

With good will to all men, and all that, here's something to cheer up KB fans: She'll be invited back for next year's Christmas special, which she'll win, and the sour grapes army can then chant "Justice!" to their hearts desire. Everyone's a winner

I did feel there was too much side by side going on. Lindyhop and Charleton were quite similar choices and did not reflect her flu range. That said Kellie danced with the most pzazz on the night and is a great performer. However, given the controversy about the judges and their decisions over the previous few weeks (Jameliagate, Anita being knocked out etc) the judges should have known better than to show favoritism in the final. *Kellie got a great slot in the final being 3rd *Judges giving her top marks for her first two dances *Len saying she should be the winner when viewers knew Kevin is his Godson Their favourtism backfired spectacularly and the public voted for who they considered should be the winner and that was the couple who were the stars of the series and the reason for the high viewership figures. BBC needs to look at the final format - IMO each couple should have to do one ballroom and one Latin and a show dance. The 3 of the last 4 dances on Saturday were not ballroom i.e. Lindyhop and 2 Charleston. At least then we would see a contestants full range instead of specialist dance |

The public voted for Jay.
He got the most votes and he won. He was also the best dancer. Any other discussions about 'fixes' or Kellie's dancing (accurate but graceless) or choreography really are utterly and totally irrelevant now. It's over and the best couple won. The public chose them. Whingeing about it won't change a thing, so why bother? |

Her tango was ok but not on a par with either Georgia or Jays tango and certainly not a 40

How 'bout we just ban Charlestons or any dance that is remotely related to the Charleston?
Or is that just me? |

Just goes to show, however much the judges are derided all series, they create the big stories in the end. Their scores and comments created the Kelliewuzrobbed storyline in the national press - if they had scored her tango the same as Georgia and Jay's first dances and given her Charleston the third place it probably deserved in my opinion in round 3, this storyline wouldn't exist in the papers. Instead, they would have looked for tweets about Jay's previous experience and used this to prove that Georgiawuzrobbed.
Mind you, if Kellie had won, they would probably have done a Jaywuzrobbed storyline - so maybe the judges are irrelevant after all.... |

Lovely words about Jay from Alijaz and Janette on their blog in OK magazine. Said he was fantastic all season and very pleased he won.
Wish everyone could be as generous. |

She wasn't 'robbed'. A definate top six dancer.....evident from week 1.......but Jay and Georgia were in the far far distance.
Kellie was neck and neck with Anita and Helen. |

Think of it this way too......IF KK had won, wouldn't all jay?GG fans be up in arms about the KK tens for imperfect dances, the hollering of the clifton mob in the galleries, the running order again favouring kellie, and the obvious bias of the judges towards KK and against AJ?? ooops...as Britney once sang...'I did it again'!

But his win has been overshadowed by the fact that Kellie was robbed. Check online, both papers and twitter. Even Alan Sugar (who I don't like) made it known that he thought Kellie should've won. Miranda Hart too.
Kellie was the best performer on the night (as well as most weeks). Clearly the public don't vote on the dances. In a competition where people are told to vote for their favourite not enough people voted for her to win, therefore she didn't, it's really that simple. Quote:

So glad Jay won, just because the thought of Kellie holding up that Glitterball with her gurning dance face on, fills me with dread
