Where Georgia won it for me was that her understanding and feeling about what she was doing was growing and changing as she was doing it.”

Georgia is absolutely my second favourite of this series and probably coming up close to being one of my favourite all time female celebrities (Denise Lewis is my fave, then Zoe Ball) and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow and develop into a truly beautiful dancer.
If she can sing, I could quite happily see/watch her on a West End stage.

Sometimes it just gets you like that. And it's wonderful.

You must have seen the number of times people say Colin lost the glitterball to Darren because of Puppetgate. And then someone explains that's not true because Darren was miles ahead before the show dances. Well, the reason we know this is because Darren wrote about it in his autobiography. So all we need to do now is wait for a finalist to write their biography and hope it's mentioned in the book! ”

Aye, I don't think Puppetgate made much difference but, to emphasise my comment re Rumba, Colin Jackson's is the only other one I've ever liked from a male celebrity and that was back in Series Three
That year I wanted Zoe to win but I was actually quite happy when Goughie won (as a Yorkshire girl it's hard not to be!) because he did, whether he was a great dancer or not, do a massive amount of good to demonstrate that blokes could go out and do "proper" dancing without it being sissy or girlie etc.

It absolutely is. There is nothing, for me, more emotionally connecting than dance. Not even Opera (which also makes me weep like a baby or sets my heart racing) comes close for me.
It is, however, usually ballet or contemporary dance that does it for me. I've long been a reluctant Ballroom and Latin fan other than when they're nicked to provide show stopping theatrical routines like those performed by the greats - Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, James Cagney etc

I wonder if she can sing? The difference in her whole posture was so clear tonight when we saw the recap videos. Total transformation.

Maybe she'll get asked to do a guest performance stint Chicago like other celebs. I'd watch her.

Absolutely yes. She could do Roxie's role if she can sing (although it's a little bit more than just "sitting on a chair no matter what DvO might say )

I love contemporary dance, although I didn't really know what it was until I watched So You Think You Can Dance? And almost every DVD I own is a musical! I know now that I prefer Ballroom to Latin on the show, but that's probably because we don't see many decent Latin performances.

It doesn't need a great singing voice either, she'd just need to be able to carry a tune.

I voted for Darren and hate reading on here that he wasn't a good dancer. He was good enough.

The results shown here prove what I have said all along, that our Forum Poll's are a good indication of what the overall public vote will be.

Just re watched Jay's Final Paso and I seriously want to unappreciate that he didn't get 40.

Georgia's charleston was fab, but she went obviously out of time in the final turns, and IMO Jay's Paso was the dance of the night - his obvious joy during the dance, he put his heart and soul into it, you could (finally) see him 'living' the dance, fist in the air grinning in the final floor spin, punching his chest as he knelt for the final pose.....

That was a Strictly Final dance.

Compared to that dance all of Kellie's tonight were stage school hammy, lumpen, technically lacking, cold.

Jaywozrobbed!!!!!!!! of a 40

As someone that would have been happy with all 3 winning plus Helen and Anita;I wat

ched the final with an unblinkered approach.

For me Kellie just edged it for me over Georgia with Jay in 3rd place due to his very poor showdance
