How do you think this series compares to last year?

The question's in the title, really - now that Strictly 2015 has finished, would you say that this series has been better, worse or of about the same standard (in terms of how much you've enjoyed it as a whole) than last year and why? Vote away!

A vast improvement, even if the last few weeks haven't been great.

I said it was worse. It had too SCD professionals. I like Georgia and thought she was great but she didn't have the greatest journey. IMO that accolade should go to some one who had no dance experience but made great strides. To compete with all these ringers Anita really did well but Len robbed her of the chance to be in the final.

The dancing has been better, the judges seem to have been worse.

Overall, I'll vote " better " because I have enjoyed this series so much more than the last few.

Dancing: better.

Likeable celebs: about the same, possibly slightly more.

Nastiness on the forum: worse.

On the dancing front it has been very good, with for me 5 deserved winners.

However this closeness in ability has made this series the most vitriolic series ever.

Also despite a male winning they got the balance wrong and it was clear from the first show that only 2 males had a chance compared to maybe 7 women.

Despite the Jay hype, the actual dance group was a well balanced mix, a lot more even with no out-and-out ringer/pro that was way ahead every week like a Ricky or Natalie.
Jay and Helen had wobbles. Georgia and Kellie didn't really wobble but the public for whatever reason didn't vote for them so much. Then there were other value-for-money people who ended up as also-rans (Katie, Anita, Peter) and various people who looked like they might have been good but weren't (Jamelia, Iwan, Anthony, Kirsty) and personalities rather than strong contenders (Carol, Jeremy, Ainsley, Daniel)

It was much better - the last three weeks haven't been up to much (Musicals Week was a vapid propathon, only Kellie really turned up for the semis, and the selection of dances for the final was a joke) but a lot of last year was very sub-par and the selection of personalities was very one-note. Jay and Georgia fill similar character archetypes but other than that it's been a very diverse end-game.

I voted the same. The standard in the semi final and final was a lot worse this year, but the standard throughout was a lot better this year, and I liked the celebs more this year.

A lot better. Last year I almost didn't watch the final, not because I was convinced that my favorite wouldn't win, but because I just didn't care who won. And not in the nice "I love them all" sort of way. I really just didn't care about any of them.

This year was a lot different, and a lot better throughout the series, but I think it's made this forum a terrible place to be with how mean-spirited the fans of the losing celebs have been.
