So many sour ones from all "sides" I think the judges, basing their results on the dancing, had the scoreboard in the right order last night. Jay was completely out-danced by both Kellie and Georgia. But viewers are told to vote for "their favourite", Jay was the only one to escape the dreaded DO, despite a few unfortunate dances, and was clearly the favourite of many - and no reason why he shouldn't be, he seems a really lovely likeable guy. And when viewers votes are all that count, it's popularity that's key! It's not the first time the best dancer has been topped by the voting viewers favourite - and I doubt if it will be the last! |

But isn't there always? When someone's fave is voted off or doesn't win, it's invariably a "Fix" in some people's eyes.

I think Jay was the best dancer overall; he didn't show his talent to the full in the final, and his partner is to blame for that- it could have cost him the trophy.
I think it was mean of the Mail on Sunday to ignore him in their coverage of the final, instead concentrating on Georgia in a large picture, with Jay appearing in an insert. The article didn't even describe him as the winner |
