Cha cha cha....Georgia's is the only one I remember & loved it so Georgia
Char less ton....There can be only one!!!!!!!!! Dance of the series, Team GG!! Did like Peter's & Kellie's as well!
Foxtrot....Katie & Anton!! Georgia's was beautiful but spoiled by teapots etc!
Jive.... Again there can really be only one!!Jay & Aliona!! Peter close second (ducks for cover!! )
Paso Doble.... Anita for pure drama & amazing artistry, also loved Jay's final one & Georgia's!! Actually I really liked Katie's & Carol's too, even though both were slated by the judges!!
Quickstep... Team GG again!!
Rumba.... Georgia & Giovanni in the final, electrifying & gorgeous in equal measure, quite liked Katie & Anton's too!
Salsa.... Has to be Ainsley's tomatoes but loved Georgia's & Jay's too!!
Samba... Georgia again but loved Helen's Hallowe'en one too!
Tango...Team GG, also liked Katie's & Jay's
Viennese Waltz...Helen, Kellie, Georgia, probably in tat order
Waltz...None really stick in my mind to be honest!

Showdance....Team GG by a distance, Kellie's was clever & energetic but Georgia's was beautiful & emotional & that opening sequence took my breath away!!

Kellie and Kevins was the one with the most 'show' and therefore had that immediate impact- crowd-pleasing and entertaining.
Jay and Alionas was the most technically difficult and takes more than one viewing to appreciate so didn't have the immediate impact that a show dance requires.
Georgias and Giovanni tried something very difficult but it didn't have the required impact - still technically difficult.

So, a really good year for the tango (I really liked Jay's, Katie's, Georgia's, Peter's and Helen's). Not a great year for cha-cha-cha, foxtrot or paso doble (I'd say showdance too, but really when have we ever had a great year for showdances?)

I know dance appreciation is highly subjective but I find it depressing that Oomp pah pah was 'top' VW for so many on this thread. Especially when there were two really exceptional VW's in this series.

I agree. But unfortunately beautiful traditional VW tend to be not as memorable even if both topped the leaderboard on their weeks. It doesn't help that one of them was done by one apparently not so popular celeb (Helen or without a fanbase).

we were robbed of Helens AS!!! Can you imagine? I have a completely unfounded suspicion that the music (and styling) for Kellies AS was for Helen. As it fits their style and storyline through Strictly much more than Kellie. But of course that's just me and my suspicions.
