Interestingly, if you asked people outside of their fanbases to name a song by any of them I bet they could name one from each - Titanic, All I want for Christmas, & I will always love you. One of those is a film theme, one a bit of Christams tat, and one a cover of a superior original.

I watched some documentary on Celine last night.
I didn't know she was releasing music since 1981 and had about 7 French albums before her first English one in 1991.

Her French language recordings are more credible and D'eux is still the biggest selling album in France.

Not at all. Celine gets all the credit she deserves, which is none. Jimmy Eat World on the other hand don't get enough credit. This is a band who write good songs and play instruments, something Celine can only dream of doing

I have just finished watching her documentary on returning to Vegas. What an incredible woman she is. She is s one of, if not the best vocalist ever. AMAZING!! I seen her live on her 'Taking Chances' world tour in 2009 in Mnachester. Hope I get to see her again and get a new album shortly. I believe that her husband is very ill and this will have been his last Christmas. Is this true? Anyone know any new news on Celine?

She doesn't get as much credit nowadays but there is no denying that in the 90's she was a huge success with massive massive wworldwide sales. I like Celine and have bought a few of her albums and i still enjoy them. Quality wise Falling into you remains her best album. Celine was on the scene for years before she made the big breakthrough which many never realised, even at her peak not many people remembered her winning Eurovision for Swtzerland.

The huge difference with Celine, Mariah and Whitney is Celine largely kept out of the spot light outside her music, she was never really tabloid trash or a magazine filler where Mariah and particularly Whitney were.

Celine's last album sold over platinum status in the UK, i would be interested to see how a new album will perform for her. Either way she most certainly has her money made. For now she needs to enjoy the time she has left with her husband,to my knowledge he has terminal cancer so that is very hard on them as they seemed to be such a genuine in love couple which is rare in show business.
