Yes it was an insult to call them nobodies, I said I meant it as such. I am and remain cross about the Clifton family being treated as British Dancing Royalty which they are not.

Anyone else want to personally attack me today any new insults for me, I have already had one " rude " today? I would like to remind people I am not a person on this show and hence should not be being discussed on this forum. I did not bring my comment over to this thread. As part of a conversation it was relevant, but since it was brought over and I was personally attacked, I have defended myself and my remark.

I have not "attacked " you, I called your post rude as you were. It is not acceptable in my book to call anyone a nobody, no matter who they are. I really don't know and can't see where the "Dancing Royalty" is or came from.

But Coppertop made the remarks in a completely separate thread as part of a completely separate discussion. Yes, I know it's an open forum and comments posted anywhere can be read by anyone but, by the same token I wouldn't expect them to be hauled across to another thread and to become the discussion and be compelled to explain/justify them. To me, that is also rude and not particularly nice forum etiquette. If there is a problem with a post (not poster) address it where it stands or take it to pm.

I responded to what was posted on this thread which I found rude, mean-spirited and petty. I had no idea it had originated elsewhere so I don't feel I was wrong to respond to what was posted on here. There are obviously other threads where posts of that ilk are encouraged and cheered, but i avoid them but, much like the Peter witch hunt, they start spreading elsewhere, I think people have a right to call them out when they see them too.

I agree with this - I don't know what was posted where as I don't follow this forum too closely, but in the posters own words, post # 308 on this thread......the Cliftons are called nobodies. This is what I took exception to.

I wholeheartedly agree Penny, I can criticise as much as the next person but not the pros, they deserve praise for what they have achieved.

Aggs I wouldn't bother anymore apparently the concept of not discussing posters is completely beyond people on this thread apparently I am much more fascinating than the show.
