I don't get the hate either, they're talented, hard working pros who seem easy to get on with. A great asset to the show.

Exactly this - it's quite embarrassing to see how desperate the baying mob is to find a reason to dislike them - even going as far as to make fun of Kellie taking ill before the show.
Karen, Kevin and Jo seem like really lovely people who get on brilliantly with their celebs, their fellow pros and who are an absolute asset to the show despite idiots often sending them every empty thought in their bitter heads on social media. How very dare they exist.

I don't think he deliberately tries to make a scene when he gets good scores, or goes trought to the next week etc; I believe he just cares about his partners, and is excited when they do well. I mean, this is his livelihood, and he does care.
For me it was ITT show...he was on more than any other pro/celeb...and when he's not on his sister is,!!! she done the final critic on CC... some other pro dancer employed by BBC should have done that segment.... not Jo Clifton ...her brother was up against the guys she was passing judgement on. And when he and his sister were not on ITT...his wife was!!!! ...it was the Clifton show. When it came to Kellie/ Kevin as a couple .... their screeching and screaming got right on my nerves ,and last night the screaming Clifton's took it to another level ....almost wasted the usual professional show that Strictly is...it was ridiculous behaviour.
Three times Kevin Clifton has made the finals yet he has failed to win the public vote...speaks volumes...and maybe he should be asking himself why.

What is wrong with being open with your emotions? Why should you have to keep your enthusiasm and excitement in check. He is as he is - just like an over excited puppy.
I like it that he's not 'too cool for school' - if you love what you do - what's wrong with showing your enthusiasm?

For me, it's that it doesn't feel open, or genuine. It feels like a very polished performance. I never get the impression that he's being totally honest with his feelings. Everything has that "HAPPY HAPPY! BIG SMILES, KIDS! JAZZ HANDS!" feel to it.

Baffling how someone has the time to follow up which pro is how many times on ITT. Karen is a pro in her own right, and just because she's married to Kevin should have no effect wether she appears on ITT or any other show.
As for Kevin getting to the finale thrice, that's an amazing accomplishment, and he should be proud.

I didn't count myself, but it doesn't take a lot of time to notice that some Clifton or other was around almost every day. When a pattern develops, you start noticing, and you don't have to take any special time to do so.

So you don't actually know? Do you also feel that Aljaz and Jeanette should get half the time on ITT and other shows as they're a family, or are the Cliftons only considered a package deal and not individual pros?

Why would I waste my time re-watching the show to count?
Also, it might be as simple a solution as telling Kevin to sit down and not jump up and act like a fool every time Tunes on Tuesday comes up. And perhaps that we don't need Joanne every time there's an interview in the Strictly studio to do.
Just toning it down might help. They don't have to be removed completely, but good lord. Less is more.
I like Kevin, but he is very full on. He's easier to take when he has a partner who is a little more restrained.

well I watch the show everyday and they were on it most of the time in one way or another...kinda obvious.

I like Kevin, I love Karen and Jo is growing on me after this season. A mix of personalities for the pros is just as important as for the celebrities.
I didn't enjoy him and Kellie together hugely but I really do not get the scorn for him.

The more the merrier, I say.
I think it should be a condition of the contract for all pros that they change their surname to Clifton as from next series.
If that takes off, it could be extended to include the celebs in future series....
Maybe also the judges.
