Yes, Joseph faces lots of competition but so would Vana have done: she said in the interviews round there are 3,800 online dating businesses. To be fair, she might have been talking about the American market.
Lord Sugar: "How's my investment going, Joseph" ? Joseph: "Booming Lord Sugar. I've got 10 vans in London, 5 in Birmingham and a half dozen in Manchester" Lord Sugar: "Well done, Joseph" Smiles all round but in all honesty, Joseph will still be a minnow in a large pond. |

I wonder how Vana would of been able to get the investment with LS owning 50% of the business? either she'd have to buy him out using VC money as each of the VC firms will want a cut of the profits or give up most of her holdings to the VC firms.
Jospephs the steady earner that just keeps making a smallish profit and i'm sure LS can use them to service his property portfolio. |

A German once told me she found it repulsive that Brits have washing machines in the kitchen it's so unhygienic
He also said that people used to use coloured overlays on black and white TV sets to "make them colour" ! Quote:
I'm feeling a bit patronised by their view of Britain!
Although America was once seen as "the land of opportunity", I personally think she's wrong and that Europe today is generally more forward-thinking than USA - hence why America is more reluctant than the EU to enforce gay rights and gun control, as well as being more traditional / religious / politically conservative in terms of capital punishment and the lack of a welfare state, et cetera (not that there's necessarily anything wrong with this, but I just think it contradicts her point) |

I don't get Vana's idea at all, it was a gimmicky load of rubbish, including the Professor of Desire or whatever name she gave the individual.
I recall a tv programme Dating in the Dark and having gone through the get to know you in person, once the lights came on many people said 'no thanks' when they saw the individual who they had actually fancied with the lights off. Vana's idea will involve playing games with someone and gradually see what they look like, so one could waste considerable amounts of time for little or no reward in terms of a person one fancies. It'll go down well in the US as they are always keen on a new gimmick but we have a very different approach to things here in the UK, which is why the sales training based on the US model doesn't work with us. Maybe Vana's concept would work better if people could see each other BEFORE they began playing games with one another |

I see Pimlico Plumbers have further diversified into the Disposal Business. Come on Joseph....start making use of all those Facility Management contacts you made.

I think the best person won. Think Vanas downfall was that her plan needed more money than the prize LS had. if it could have been done with LS prize she may have stood a chance. She needed around the amount of money he has invested in all 5 winners combined together
