No new presenter announced yet. Dara probably wont return as he has too much other work on. Adrian Chiles could return but i doubt that he will. The question is who will it be next?

I don't like the comedy element so don't really watch but for a possible presenter to replace Dara maybe Nick Hewer so he's still involved in the apprentice without having to do all the hard work of chasing the candidates?

Think they'll announce very soon, filming must be pretty imminent right? The show is being trailed on BBC1.
They should change the set too. Series 11's was too gloomy for a cool-down panel show. |

I like Rhod. His style is more suited to this show, although he can bit too excitable. No word on Romesh?

I prefer it this way...having him on full-time was just too draining. http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2016-...ff-youre-fired |

According to the Radio Times, the BBC wanted him to continue in his full-time guest stint but his schedule this year cannot accommodate it. He has, however, been invited to appear as a guest so we haven't seen the last of him yet...

Rhod Gilbert? He does a lot of stand up, has been on Live at the Apollo a few times. He'll be a good replacement as host, normally quite a loud character.
He is a good choice - however he has never had any kind of "career". I would have preferred someone like Katherine Ryan, John Bishop, Richard Osman, all of whom have had a "career" in business. Even Victoria Coren Mitchell would be good - as a a professional gambler she understands about making money. Sean Kelly from Storage Hunters would also be an off the wall choice All of those would be able to ask their "own" questions (like Adrian Chiles who had been a business journalist for many years) rather than read questions off a script |

Good choice, didn't watch last year since I couldn't stand either Dee or Romesh so will hopefully enjoy it again.

never watched because I don't like the comedians just get Nick Hewer to do it and go down the serious business side and then were done

I think Rhod will do well. I enjoyed Dara's term (unpopular opinion!) but I did find that he drew out the comedy elements way too long. With Jack, I don't think he was bad, but he never really seemed to fit into his role as a presenter.
I'm glad Romesh is gone, though. I'd seen him on other things and thought he was okay, but he just failed here. Matt Edmondson would've been a good fit for a presenter, but I think he's doing TXF or something this year. I think (and hope) the guest panel is made up of one businessperson, a celebrity (usually who has been a journalist or something) and a comedian. |

Looks like they're dropping it to just two guests based on the first episode description Quote:
New series. The companion programme to The Apprentice returns, with new host Rhod Gilbert chatting to the candidate who was the first to be ejected from the contest by Alan Sugar. Radio's One's Matt Edmondson and Bargain Hunt expert Anita Manning are the guests who take an inside look at this year's business hopefuls, and meet the first candidate to be fired.

Great choice imo, funny guy, right blend of humour for this show, I'm confident.

Completely out of his depth in a situation where he needs to be witty in response to peoples comments. He is clearly needs to be in a prepared stand up comedy sort of situation. Maggie |

Better than last years attempt at least
Adrian > Dara > Rhod > Jack for me I think the format of YF itself hasn't really aged well though to be honest, when it first started it was a case of actually having a decent chat with the fired contestant mixed in with a few clips of comedy value whereas now it just feels like they're trying to force the comedy element as much as they can, same on the main show with Lord Sugar and his cringeworthy lines! |

I thought he was very good, but then I'm used to his style of presentation having seen quite a few of his programmes.
I thought he made it fun and interracted well, unlike stiff Dee. Glad that Romesh is too busy to be a permanent guest too! Glad they've seen sense with the set and we've gone back to everyone at the same table with the audience in front. Last year's set was a very bad design. |

I thought he did a great job, much better than last year's YF stint.
Not keen on Matt Edmondson though, that will be the other predictable list for the coming weeks (Josh Widdicombe, Katherine Ryan, Nick Grimshaw (please forbid) |
