Unlocking a mobile help

I want to buy a handset from Argos which is locked to Vodafone. I will need to unlock it straight away. Is there a reliable website that can do this?

Also, is it easy and is the handset likely to have Vodafone branding all over it?

It's a Galaxy S4 mini. Thanks.

The only Samsung Galaxy S4 minis I can find on the Argos website are all SIM free so is this an instore special or something?

Your local unlocker type phone shop should be able to do it while you wait.

There's one PAYG Vodafone one there for £25 less than the unlocked one. You do need to buy a £10 top-up at the same time, so it's only really £15 less.

OP: For the sake of £15 (less the unlocking fee you'll need to pay if you buy the VF model) I'd recommend buying the SIM-free version if there's any way you can stretch to it.

Ah, fair enough - I assume you need to pick it up today as well. One thing Argos does very well...

In that case I'd revert back to others advice on the unlocking side of things - good luck...
