Why was Craig determined not to give that Paso a 10?

Dance of the night but Craig seem determined not to give it a 10 and reward it the 40 it deserved, yet gave that horrid tango Kellie and Kevin danced a 10?

Because Kellie has been protected through out the series with over marking. TBH had she been fairly marked she would have left ages ago IMO. Most people I know found her hard to watch.

Maybe because he liked the Tango better.

You could say Craig is refusing to give 10's to the thousands of other dances in Strictly history that he hasn't given 10's to.

You sound far too rational. You know very well it's all because it's a fix

I'm not sure how giving a dance a 9 (not his only one of the round) rather than a 10 can translate as him being "determined" to do anything - given his role as a judge and all - but you do you.

it's the same with THAT jive. Bruno was the only one to award it for perfection. It's about time they did away with the ridiculous notion that you don't award a 10 in the early stages. It shouldn't matter what week you're at, if a dance is worthy of a 10, so be it. Also, if the judges insist their marks in the final are for guidance only, how about them ditching scoring at all. It's no wonder the show attracts criticism for favouritism with how those marks panned out on the night. It seemed it was a case of let's give the other two a chance as Jay is ahead with the public vote.

Jay did some things exceedingly well, better than all other male celebs, but hadn't really mastered everything for one dance. I felt before the final that Craig would always deny him a 40.

He was judging with his mangina?

Well, they did both start smiling half way through - verboten in the paso - so I suppose he could use that as an excuse if push came to shove...........

Who cares, Jay won without any help from the judges and old faceache will just have to live with it.

Because Craig fancies Kevin and Gio so that's why

Then he fails to understand tango
Repeating myself the opening sequence was a dire tango interpretation no drama ( both K and K) and that lasted circa a quarter of the dance

The two side by side dance I defy you to turn off the music and name the dances

She did dance well a bit crude in the lower body but we'll danced but sorry not good enough a package to deserve winning

True, and they weren't in tango hold either - perhaps two wrongs make a right in Craig's world.

Honestly I don't think Craig was ever going to give Jay a 10 unless he did his Jive again and did it as well as the first time. I just didn't think he liked Jay's way if that makes sense. Craig always hold his 10 back and then it manages to go to a dance that leaves most scratching their heads so I really wouldn't stress about it.

They were very generous with Kellie though and yet still quite hard on the others.

That maybe the case but that doesn't take away the fact Craig clearly just liked it. Also the no drama thing seems to be more down to the music than the fault of Kellie or Kevin.

Well he didn't give a 10 to Anita's Paso in Blackpool and that was the best this year.

There was no attempt to offer up the drama tango demands and in simple terms you do not smile/laugh throughout the dance

It simply didn't deserve a ten in Craig's opinion - It's not rocket science.
