Strictly Ticket Re-sales
Mutter

£500.00 for floor seats from Ticketmaster.
If they made tickets non transferable, this wouldn't happen.

What are you referring to? Tickets for the general public for the weekly shows are already non-transferable.

As seats cannot be guaranteed, as anyone who has attended will know, these must be invited guest seats that are being sold.

Or are you thinking of the Strictly tour? It is not clear.

Actually you'll find they are, you often see FMs saying they have tickets for a certain date but unable to go and they offer their tickets to anyone who wants them.

Maybe that is so, but the ticket definitely says in red type 'This is a complimentary ticket and is NOT for sale.'

It also says that it does not guarantee a seat (let alone a floor seat!) or even entry to the venue as more tickets are issued than seats are available.

I wouldn't pay £500 for a possibility of a seat after queuing up for hours on a wintry day! It doesn't add up!

The OP's talking about tour tickets being sold on by ticket touts.

the OP is talking about the Strictly Live Tour, not the tv show

OK, point taken. Should have made it clearer in the first instance.

Five years ago, I might have paid more for a decent tour ticket but not these days.

That's crazy - especially as I booked a ticket for the show at Manchester just over a week ago at face value with no bother! Granted its a lot further back but I don't think it much matters with a show like this, the dancers will move around a lot and the seats are staggered, so it should be a decent view.

If people didn't BUY tickets at extortionate prices from Ticketmaster or anyone else, then this wouldn't happen. Whether selling a house, a car, or a ticket to a little show, people will sell for whatever price someone is daft enough to pay.

I paid £40 for mine, £500 is bloody extortionate!
