We've done this before.
If you were a celebrity dancer and you got "naff-all" votes, you'd feel very uncomfortable. The possibility of this happening might dissuade future contestants from appearing in this show. I think the BBC find it hard enough to get reasonably well known people to appear, as it is.
If it were possible for entertainers to find a way to make themselves instantly more popular with the public, if you could bottle it, you could make a fortune.
Without the individual figures being published, just the order, it doesn't reveal whether it was a "close run thing," or "run away victory." So no one need feel embarrassed for not being at all popular with the public, if that were the case.
A sensible decision by the BBC, in my opinion, as it's really mostly an entertainment show.
