I think this needs a thread of it's own: Kevin is NOT Len's godson! |

That Len has a vested interest in Kevin's life?
However, Anton IS Giovanni's Padrino ![]() The familial trait of sweating when they get hot is uncanny

A stupid rumour started by immature and over invested 'fans' based on their hate. They keep forgetting that this us supposed to be a fun entertainment show, and it's Kevin's real life job they're going after. No one deserves this crap directed at them or talked about them. I wonder when some 'fans' will cross some boundaries and lines and still think it as a 'joke'.

I would find it highly disparaging if a judge did have such a close relationship to one of those he judges. Then again, I find it unsavoury that a sister of a finalist can be qualified to neutrally analyse her brother's competition. In other words, the show has lost its credibility due to incestuous relationships...
I do think DWTS takes the mick a bit having Derek's sister as a judge. |

It wasn't meant to be a thread to have a go at the Cliftons. I hope it doesn't turn into one.

I can't believe some people still think this is true. Kevin himself even took the piss out of the whole thing. There are some days when I wonder how the tabloids get away with the crap they print and how anyone ever believes it, and then you see people running away with stories this and it's like oh...that's how.

Most of the pros on Strictly and DWTS have known Len for a long time, being judged by him as kids etc. If no-one with ties to any pros could judge, there wouldn't be any ballroom judges, as most pros competed for a long time, being judged by many people

How come neither Kevin nor Len have come out and denied it? I have no problem with sisters brothers wives being on the safe show but the judges shouldn't have a personal connection

Perhaps the news of Syria, the EU, what an idiot is Jeremy Corbyn and Frank Lampard's wedding should give way to a national announcement in the papers that Len is not Kevin's godfather. Just a thought.

I despair. Somebody stupidly starts a rumour which gets accepted as fact. Fudd starts this thread to reiterate that it is NOT true. And people keep saying "but if it Is true...." |

Kevin denied it on Twitter as was reported on one of the many other hate Kevin threads on this board.
Chris Evans show from last week, at 1 hour 41 minutes (approx) he comments on "people telling me I'm Len's Godson" |

Most compelling evidence for Len not being anyone's Godson (I.e. Dedicated from baptism onwards to the child's Christian welfare)
Len is Jewish, or of Jewish extraction, isn't he? |

I view it as an IQ test - anyone who still believes this ridiculous rumour is demonstrating how foolish and easily led they are.

About as being as easily led as thinking those 80 marks weren't contrived
Some people just don't understand how entertainment shows work. It's been obvious to anyone with half a brain for ages that Jay was going to walk this. They kept saying "anyone can win it" but that obviously wasn't true. You only had to look at the bookies' odds to see that. Kellie and Kevin did do great performances, and their show dance at least deserved a 40. In addition that that - the producers knew that Jay would win, so the others also got their winning moments - Kellie getting recognition for her skill and hard work in terms of good scores, and Georgia being told that Craig would want to employ her. Both were deserved - but they were mentioned publicly (and possibly the tango score slightly inflated) so that supporters of those pairs could still feel happy for them when Jay won. Judges' scores in the final don't go towards the results. If anything, a lower score is better, as it makes supporters more likely to pick up the phone and vote. If Jay didn't already have it in the bag - him getting a 39 when Kellie had got 40 would probably have been enough to swing it for him. I've been a 'judge' in an entertainment competition (one where it didn't really matter who won, the main intention was to entertain the audience - much like the Strictly tour format). I was told that part of my job was to criticise the performers if they messed up, so that the audience would be mad at me for being 'mean' to the performers rather than mad at the performers for not doing well. As has been said before, a lot of Strictly is just panto. |

I see no problem in family members taking part in the show; it creates bonds. I do have a slight issue where they're passing comment on Choreography Corner etc. when they have an understandable vested interest in regards to the remaining couples - but that's down to the production team.

I have an issue when they are allowed to scream "10, 10,10,10" from front and centre of the Clauditorium for that tango.
