I know you can go to the appreciation page and comment on your favourite couple, but I thought it would be nice to have a combine thread to say something postive and not negitive.

Kevin and Kellie where my favourite on the night. But i think Jay deserved the win because he was the best through out the competition.

What next for the finalists?

Kellie - continue in Emmerdale?
Georgia - I'd like to think that Craig will make good on his promise
Katie - already has an assured job
Jay - ?? What can our intrepid winner do next?

Kellie - proper professional and trouper - well done her. Really admirable.
Katie - handled everything with grace and had shining moments.
Georgia - beautiful dancer, sweet person.
Jay - very talented, all round nice guy, worthy winner.

Jay - Really not sure at all. Maybe music as a solo artist?
Kellie - More Eastenders. Later maybe some musical theatre?
Georgia - I thought she had dreams of the movies but I guess West End now?
Katie - More high profile presenting jobs?

I thought Katie danced splendidly with Anton. How many viewers realised that she had had a bad back (very painful) for 2 weeks and was still managing to dance without any unsightly strapping? The "O Fortuna" will be remembered for That Drop. Brave lady - and she's still looking cheerful about the whole Strictly adventure.

When Jay, Georgia and Kellie were lined up on stage prior to the results being read out, I had absolutely no idea which of the three would get the prize. All three had performed brilliantly. You could not have asked any of them for more.

Little Georgia might have been totally overwhelmed had she won. But I think Craig's West End show offer (hopefully genuine) will be her prize.

Kellie would have been a worthy winner if the public had judged only on the dances of the night - but they didn't. Kellie's prize was two perfect 40 scores, which chuffed Kevin a lot, and more exposure to give her some different and more exciting acting roles.

The graceful and talented Jay needs a job, and he will probably benefit the most from being a winner. But his genuine modesty means that he can be happy about winning without being snooty about it. He seemed to be most pleased for Aliona.

In these reality shows, and in many international artistic competitions, it's not always about winning. Sometimes being in the final is sufficient to relaunch a career.

Whether true or not I read this morning that he will most probably be in demand for the West End.

It's true, they're always short of lighting technicians

Kellie- Such a hard worker has managed some beautiful ballroom routines (AS) and some fun fast Latins (Charleston) whilst also filming very poignant scenes in Eastenders.

Katie- A very graceful and kind lady. Has never once complained about her 'journey' being taken over by Anton and just taken everything in her stride.

Jay- An all round lovely man. Who's never seemed to let his popularity get to his head and remains very humble. He also doesn't seem to take himself to seriously and looks like a lot of fun to be around.

Georgia- She's moved me with some of her ballroom and made me want to jump in the screen and dance with her during her upbeat Latins. I've loved watching her genuine reactions when she does well and has really helped her dance partner out when he struggled with English.

Him too? Maybe Jay, Georgia, and Kellie could do a West End version of Strictly Ballroom. With Jay as Barry Fife. Thinking about it though getting some high profile SCD contestants in a production of SB (if they can pull it off) might see some good ticket sales.

Jay - a very worthy winner over the course of the season, who danced one of the top 5 dances of any series and the definitive jive.

Georgia - had the loveliest relationship with Giovanni and really seemed to embrace the whole thing and find out that it was something she lived. I hope it opens doors for her.

Kellie - seems to be a really nice person who worked her socks off. Had an amazing final and deserved every moment of elation the scores brought her.

Katie - was a trooper who never got brought down with anything.

Good luck to all four of them, and good luck to all the other contestants as well. They gave us a brilliant season.

Agreed, and eminently suited to shy Jay.

Georgia - A young woman whose vivacity was captured completely by her char-les-ton.
Jay - An unassuming man who delivered an amazing jive.
Katie - An elegant woman who illuminated the ungracious judges.
Kellie - A hard working woman who improved and delivered an amazing show dance.

The guy has a good voice...but I just cannot see him as a solo artist...TV presenting maybe ?

You see, you have to have a personality in order to 'present'. It's simply not good enough to get the ratings if the presenter is good enough to eat.

Also can see Jay in the West End. Ronan Keating was in a Musical called Once about a musician.

Like this positive thread millysshaw!! Started a similar one myself just after the final & it was well received!! Hope your's is too!!

Jay: couldn't fail to have been moved by all the public love for him!!
Came across as a lovely, modest lad who really enjoyed the experience & was gracious in victory!!
Gave us some great dancing & looked a real natural, as good a male celeb as I've seen on Strictly!!



Kellie: Fun, hardworking, always looked like she was having a ball!!
Gained a lot of respect for holding down a crazily busy soap schedule AND putting her all into the Strictly experience!!
Had the satisfaction of being the judges' winner on the night!!

Katie: Took Anton to the final that all his many fans wanted to see!!
Raised her game for the final & performed to the best of her ability!!
Handled 4th place with all the good grace & dignity we expected, managing to focus on the positives of what had been a wonderful experience for her, in which she'd way surpassed her own expectations!!

Georgia: what can I say that I haven't already said on other threads!!
Just came across as a lovely, unspoilt gem of a girl throughout the whole series for me, every reaction & emotion was genuine & her relationship with Giovanni was lovely!!
Her reaction to Craig's comment to her after the Charleston was the all time Strictly moment for me & just summed up everything I've loved about her!!
The opening sequence of that showdance was just incredible, to be that graceful & poised while blindfolded, amazing!!
She did probably my two favourite dances of the series: The Charleston, all glitzy joy, fun, high octane entertainment, & her Blackpool American Smooth, graceful, lyrical, perfection!
The rhumba in the final was pretty special too, such an improvement (well done Giovanni)!!
I just really hope this experience opens many doors for her career wise!!

Well just answer the question! Can you see him in a talk show role? Imagine him up against Katie Hopkins for instance.
