I have not even mentioned him being a TV talk show host and even if he were why would he come up against Katie Hopkins? He adores animals maybe something amongst those lines...he has a laid back personality maybe something with kids. At the moment the world is his oyster. |

Presenting what? Ceebee's? Countryfile?
You see, you have to have a personality in order to 'present'. It's simply not good enough to get the ratings if the presenter is good enough to eat. |

Kellie; I've never seen her in Eastenders but I liked her from years ago and it's so nice to see what a nice genuine woman she has become. Really hard worker who put her all into every dance. She seems like a lovely generous woman who was very supportive of the others. I also liked her partnership with Kevin, you could tell it was genuine and they really enjoyed dancing together, you felt their joy.
Katie; Not a natural dancer, but she worked hard and had some really stand out moments, I thought their rumba was lovely and graceful. She handled the Anton focus of the publicity, the judges comments and her defeat with such grace, modesty and dignity too. A real lady. Georgia; I remember her from Corrie, but she didn't make much impact on me in that, pretty but that's it. Now, having watched her I can say she's been a joy to watch.I loved her partnership with Giovanni and they were my favourite to watch dance. I loved watching how she's developed her confidence to move on in her career. You kind of went on a emotional journey with her and I know some viewers hate that. I didn't and of all of them I think that this could be the most life-changing for her. Jay; Never heard of him before but was surprised that he'd been in a pop group. What a nice genuine guy who seems utterly unaffected by the fame game. He produced some wonderful dances under Alionas expert tuition and outside of the dance-floor I like that he seems to be the kind of offbeat person who dances to the beat of his own drum. |

10/10 to all four couples, lets be honest they can all dance better than most of us.
They will all reap ( I hope ) benfits from the strictly experience. Happy Christmas to you all. |

Jay, a worthy winner, some amazing routines, comes across as a nice guy. Hope this leads to something for him that he enjoys. Got lots of new friends and admirers.
![]() Georgia, great to see her belief in herself as a dancer grow through the series. She has indeed "ticked" the box. Some beautiful dances. ![]() Kellie, brilliant final! Deserved the praise, could see the joy ![]() Katie, what style, a good relationship with Anton. Great to see how she embraced and enjoyed the experience ![]() Lovely to see a positive thread (except for a couple of sour grapes posters!) Just thinking how this has always been a good place to share our strictly obsession but this year seems to have brought out trolls in abundance ![]() ![]() If you can't say anything nice......keep your fingers off the keys

Nice thread OP.
Katie - performed with grace and charm all the way through and was elegance personified. Georgia - for me, the most improved of the 4 finalists, she really came out of her shell and turned into a proper performer over the series. Loved her relationship with Giovanni (hope he's back next year) and I hope Craig makes good on him promise and helps her to get onto the stage if that's the direction she wants to go in. Kellie - a proper old-fashioned trouper - she was juggling a schedule which would have knocked most of us for 6 after a fortnight but she came back week after week and performed very strongly. She's shown that she's a good all-round performer if and when the time comes for her to move on from Eastenders. Jay - he deserved to win, because he was the most popular with the public and this has always been about the public (right back to series 1 with Christopher Parker and series 3 with Darren Gough) and I hope that the negative press hasn't soured the victory for him. He's given Aliona a good send-off into the sunset (as indeed Tom Chambers did for Camilla all those years ago now) and will, I think, now realise that he has other choices post his Boy Band career, rather than just going on with the singing. All in all, it was a lovely series and they were lovely contestants who all deserved their final placing |

They will all reap ( I hope ) benfits from the strictly experience. Happy Christmas to you all. All 4 seemed pleasant people with good relationships with their Pros. Though 3 of the 4 had dance training, no-one had danced as part of their job and no-one knew ballroom and Latin - so all made progress. Katie - Almost a beginner so had worked very hard and learnt a lot to get to the Final. Graceful, elegant, good ballroom dancer and good in some Latin dances - perhaps should have had to do a Latin of some sort in the Final? Stoical - accepted the highs and lows and put up with the pain. Some balance issues, but pleasant to watch - especially her final ballroom dances. Kellie - Good to start with and got even better. Energetic, lively, extremely technically accurate and nailed her performances as far as she could. Supportive of the others. Final dances seemed to have a bit much of the same 'tone'. Really, really hardworking - how she did it I don't know. She was more of a 'performer' than a dancer for me, but a good entertainer and always good to watch Georgia - Fairly good to start with and then both her dancing and performance got better and better. Lively in her Charleston and graceful in the ballroom dances in the Final. Loved her ballroom dances generally. She grew on me as the series went on to become my 2nd favourite. So glad Craig made her the offer of a part in the West End - hope he meant it as she deserved it - she should do well there with a bit more experience. Her performances towards the end and in the Final were super. Jay - Danced with his heart and soul so my favourite - showed emotion with his dancing rather than 'performing'. Graceful and lyrical, lively and (mostly) precise. Fairly good to start with, then varied between outstanding, very good and nerve-wracking. Nice to see his confidence improve. Stoical under all sorts of pressures. Most of his dances stand watching again - always something more to see. Loved his final dances - the joy in the Quickstep, empathy in the Showdance and the last Paso was almost up with Jive for me - they threw themselves into it. Good luck to them all - hope they all benefit from Strictly, including Anita and Helen |

Katie - a very likeable, bright woman and I thought her dancing had a lot of charm and grace. Took the whole show in a lovely spirit.
Kellie - very hard working and she did extraordinarily well not to collapse under the demands of EE and Strictly. Very impressive. I'm sure she can do anything she puts her mind to. Georgia - sweet positive person who really blossomed on the show as a lovely dancer. I hope those West End offers come in for her. Jay - smashing bloke, beautiful dancer. I've no idea what he'll do next, but I shall look forward to find out. I hope they will all - and Anita and Helen and all the celebs this year - will get all they hoped for from the show and more. |

Jay Brilliant Jive and finally found a personality. He started to get better after the haircut
Katie Very Gratious and elegent, never let the judges comments get to her and dealt with them graciously when they had a bad latin run and more important for me got Anton to the final and topped the leaderboard. I could say that in the show her ballroom was some of the best this year on the odd occassion or 2 Kellie seemed to get into the character of dances really well and did every dance to a good high standard Georgia did as best she could given that she only trainned each dance one day in the semi finals and think she came through well. Little pocket rocket of energy |

Georgia - So sweet to be so beautiful. I thought she brought the right character to each dance and Giovanni was very lucky to have her as his first partner.
Jay - Another lovely personality who clearly wasn't big-headed about himself, and it was a great send-off for Aliona, showing off, yet again, her amazing dancing talent. And both Jay and Georgia were very talented dancers, as well. Katie - Lovely sophisticated lady who took some hard blows from the judges and kept on going without drama. I hope Anton is pleased with her effort - he should be. I thought much of her dancing was beautiful to watch. Kellie - She worked so hard despite a gruelling schedule. Kevin must be excited and proud to have had such a whole-hearted trier and a good technician, giving him yet another excellent series. |

I would like to pay tribute not just to the four finalists, Jay, Kellie, Georgia and Katie and their amazing partners, who gave us a wonderful
show and moments of brilliance throughout their time on SCD, but all of the celebs and their pros. Thank you, one and all, for providing a wonderful three months of entertainment. Learning something new like ballroom and Latin and then putting yourselves out there and out of your comfort zone is not easy. I salute each and every one of you. |
