I really want to see You Me At Six do amazing this year. They're last album got to No1 but I hope this next one gets them Brit Award recognition. I think they really do deserve that Best British Band nomination

Twenty One Pilots currently at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Stressed Out'. The next single to be sent to radio has been announced as 'Ride':

I think this has potential to be another big hit for them and I'm still hoping their success makes it's way over to the UK at some point. Great to see them getting some recognition after following them for a number of years.

-the charts continue to be extremely slow even if youtube views are included
-Coldplay split up
-some new not yet known pop tart that claims she is controversial starts her career with a no1 single and is the most talked about celeb until Dec2016
-Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris tie the knot, therefore not much music released by either from them, only another smash number 1 for calvin again with Ellie Goulding on vocals”

Serves her right for becoming a music industry robot. Nail in the coffin was her tragic ALS Ice Bucket Challenge video. People liked seeing other people shrieking, screaming and laughing (and basically showing that they're human) yet Lady Gaga gave us a stone face, emotionless, static pose and wasn't even remotely funny to watch (the whole point of the ice bucket challenge to begin with as well as raising money for charity).

London Grammar release their eagerly anticipated (by me at least) second album that tops the UK album chart and the lead single provides them with their first top 10 hit (yes, I predicted this to happen in 2015 so hopefully if i keep predicting this each year it will eventually come true!!! )”

Anyways, got these absolutely spot on so far.

The following songs will be big hits in the UK in 2016:

Elle King - Ex's & Oh's (reached #14)
Lukas Graham - 7 Years (UK #1 and possibly one of the years biggest selling singles)
Mike Posner - I Took A Pill In Ibiza (SeeB Remix) (climbed to #11 and looking set to go top 10 next week)
Alan Walker - Faded (climbed to #40 and should keep climbing over the coming weeks)

I had completely forgotten about that. I remember saying exactly the same thing after I saw it. It was almost as if she was saying "Look, I did it...no big deal". Just look at that face....

How crap am I?

Calvin Harris "My way" is no no1 and does not feature Ellie Goulding.

Katy Perry released Rise single but it was not succesfull (no album but partly predicted well then)

25 did not spent ages at no1 in the album chart, wrong again

None of the predictions look optional unless Sam Smith releases an album out of the blue, but that will never be the 2nd best seller of 2016

The charts are extemely slow though

Let's see how accurate I was in the end.

Bruno Mars' album is released November 2016 but will it smash? Well, it's certainly possible it'll sell well leading up to Christmas. 24K Magic hasn't exactly gone to #1 all over the world but has gone a decent sized hit so far.

No new album from Katy Perry but Rise did get to #25 in the UK even though that song was really only made for the American coverage of the Olympics.

Adele looks like she might have the biggest selling album of the year for a second consecutive year.

Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna - This Is What You Came For. It was #1 in a few countries like Australia but was denied #1 in the UK by Drake. I mean, did anyone foresee Drake dominating the charts at the start of the year? No!!! Me either.

Hard to believe it but Water Under The Bridge was released as a single last Friday. I doubt it'll be successful as everyone who would want the song already has the album...and we know how many people bought 25, don't we?
