(As I'm sure at some point he will have covered them all...)
How's about him doing some bus routes ? Pick your fave and least fave journey he should be covering

Mine; best = 516 Ambleside - Dungeon Ghyll in the Lakes.
Worst = (amongst many) 36 Bolton - Manchester

I reckon he might have wound up the "Great British Railway Journeys" with this year's recordings.

There really can't be many more he can cover.

Really enjoyed the majority of the one's he has done, though.

Anyway, the first few trips to be shown in January 2016, can be seen here along with all the previous trips he's done.

Starts Monday 4th January.

The H4 into Hinckley bus station (now a leisure complex I believe). It goes past a couple of decent pubs so is worth making a day of it, in the summer.

He could do Great British Motorways - a week of travelling along one of Britain's best loved motorways!

Hey it would take more than 10 minutes to discuss a thread on muslims or foreskins or tv ratings.

Aye, me and 'er were just saying this, there's an historic point to his journeys, could there be one for bus journeys? I'm not sure where the hook would be.

You'd think politics would be his thing, but he'd probably just laugh at all the trolling PBU's in that section. That's mainly what politics is for here... shit-flinging.

How about Great British Former Railway journeys. Follow the route of all the lines ripped up in the 60s.

What about bus shelters, which ones are still brick, which ones are the old rectangle box ones or the newer open plan ones etc.

He could do a series featuring just Heritage Railways.

Maybe he could follow those esteemed historical characters, Jack and Stan, from 'On the Buses' by recreating their return route from the depot to the Cemetery Gates.

Of course, MP would have to make various stops along the way to check out the nubile 'crumpet' and preferably, scramble madly around the bedroom for an item of his clothing, discarded in the throes of passion, just as he hears the 'crumpet's' husband return early from work.

I'm sure it would make fascinating viewing.

Maybe he could stop off to 'visit' Diane and have to hotfoot it out of the bathroom window as 'Jezzer' arrives home........

Wasn't there a rumour that Michael Portillo and Diane Abbott once had a romantic fling?

I did think that, but they've been quite well covered recently, but I have to be honest and say that canals would interest me more than trains... and definitely more than buses... but then Shanks' pony would interest me more than buses.

There are always re-opened routes...

I don't think he's been down to Galashiels yet, then Oxford-Milton Keynes will be opening in the next few years.

He could also probably do a series of "Great British Railway Hotels" with a 15 minute in-depth history of each hotel.

Disused routes....I am a bit too young to have been around in the beaching cuts era, but I have learned quite a bit about the shocking number of closures inc bridges being demolished (where trains bridge over roads). Many have a new life as a cycle route.

Closed airfields/bases. Loads of these around.

If he really gets stuck, there is always history of roads. So how roads have been diverted or had their route changes, bypasses, old roman roads. There's loads of roads, prolly good for many series.
