"Snow risk" for the weekend in southern England.
When I hear those words from 3 or 4 days away I always tend to translate them into "No risk".
Do the met office overplay the snow risks in advance nowadays to be on the safe side and not get caught out? I rather think they do so much of the time, especially when it concerns the country south of Birmingham.
I had plans on Tuesday which I altered due to the expected poor weather, with rain and also the dying wind remnants of Storm Imogen as it diminished but it ended up being quite the most beautiful day I was not expecting to arrive until today, Wednesday.
Rainfall currently a modest 17mm this month, nothing spectacular, and no temperature minimum hitting freezing point so apart from a bit of wind I'd class the month as rather benign so far.
