I honsetly felt warmer in February compared with the weather over the past 2 days in the east. Had the heating on again gale force winds blowing and murky depressing dark grey clouds everywhere. Getting fed up, The kids are bored cause they can't go out and play we had planned some days out over the half term but not going out in this weather.

Hmmmm..........I'll believe that when I see it, given how few thunderstorms have affected this country in recent years. However, it will certainly become very warm or hot next week. A total contrast to this week in the South East.

The weather in France seems to have been far colder, wetter & duller than even in the south and east of the UK.

Had enough of this sun in N.I now is there any sign of it ending? I remember why I dislike summer now as the bedroom was roasting last night.

Another lovely day forecast for these parts (Cheshire);…yesterday was a cracker,…only 18c max but it felt a lot warmer. Probably because it was clear blue sky virtually all day.

There didn’t seem to be even the slightest hint of that thin high veiled cloud to take the edge of the UV’s…the sun was blistering.

I’m lovin’ it;…as are my gardens!

9c & 1020mb at the moment with hardly a breath of wind,…18c forecast today but it looks to be a bit cloudier than yesterday.

No sign of any sunshine at all on Friday here in Bucks for yet another day. Gloomy from dawn to dusk. Temperature briefly hit 14c and now it is a very damp and misty night. This week must rank as one of the most remarkable east/west UK weather contrasts ever. The pictures my brother emailed from holidaying in the tip of Cornwall, surfing in the clear seawater in bright warm sunshine under a cloudless blue sky made it look as if he'd left the country and gone to Spain. He had summer and us here had autumn.

Set to change today with the cloud breaking up more widely.

About time too.

In saying that, yet again there is that stubborn bank of cloud over many central and Eastern areas. It's spread in from the North Sea overnight, but hopefully with the Sun at its strongest in June, it should finally piss off to leave clear skies by what? - well normally I'd say 10am. But given it's Summer 2016 in the East, probably 2pm.

Yesterday in N.I the sun never broke through once, in saying that it was very warm and humid, This morning more of the same cloud however the sun appears to be trying to break through. Highs forecast today of 22c

Same here next door, both days cloudy and cold all day in spite of it promising dizzy heights - the sun finally got itself excited yesterday and popped out about 8.30 when it was time to set! Today 23 degrees? Yeah okay, if you say so.

Another lovely day forecast for these parts (Cheshire);…yesterday was a cracker as well but with occasional periods of cloud.

Not a cloud in the sky at the moment though,… and a high of 25c forecast.

It’s presently 19c & 1022mb ,…hardly a breath of wind.

Yes, absolutely. Cloud now dispersed here, with blue skies and strong Sun. the cloud didn't "burn back to the East coast", rather it just shrunk from the East and West, inwards.

We had a spectacular cloudburst in my part of Cheshire yesterday with a quarter of an inch of rain in half an hour.

Only drama today was running out of BBQ gas but fortunately had a spare in the garage.

Some useful weather stats HERE Manchester Airport is ref 03351.

25c here and very humid.

It's cloudy out so it would probably be warmer if it was sunny.

6.45pm. in the shade 26 degrees (South Cheshire), don't you dare send that shower over here until we have all gone to bed.
It has been around 26 degrees most of the afternoon, not touching your 28.9c in the shade.
