More showers are now breaking out as far east as the Isle of Wight, moving north and this is starting to take the edge off temperatures here, a bit further north from there. Temperature here peaked at 27.0 in sunshine (highest in Sept. here for at least 11 years), now 25.4, clouding over.
We were also at the extreme east of the noon band of showers, missing the pyrotechnics but it did produce 0.3mm of rain, a 3 degree C temperature drop, an immediate 2 millibar pressure rise and the wind direction veered all the way round from east to north, via south! Interesting boundary between the heat and the cooler fresher air.
There is rain currently showing up over my house on the radar, but it's dry... it's evaporating before reaching the ground. So far.
