Hi Dj MERRY CHRISTMAS to you & your's!!

Thanks for a great festive thread! You've picked some cracking episodes, all of which I'll watch sometime over Christmas! Love the 87 Christmas eps with Hilda & 08 was a great Corrie year for me!!
Really hope that ED is just taking a break, not leaving! Emily may not get big storylines any more but she is part of the fabric of the Street!!

I'm going to buck the forum (and my own to be honest) trend & say, for once, "Well done" to Stuart Blackburn for at least trying to give us a positive Christmas!! Much of what he has done recently has been garbage but I applaud him for turning the Hope illness s/l into a 'community pulling together' thing, more like Corrie of old!!

All the very Best to al you fellow Cobblers!! Won't be on the thread tonight as I will be away stuffing my face & recording the episode!! Hope you all enjoy!!

Hi ndd. Thanks. 87 is a classic. I think it is the most watched Corrie episode??

Agree about Emily and I like the community feel that the Christmas story has engendered.

Enjoy yourself!

I keep remembering Albert Tatlock or Percy Sugden watching them put up those street decorations

"You don't wanna do it like...you wanna do it like this....there's far too much false snow...those decorations are dangling.....you want to give it some welly putting up those tables....those inflatable creatures look crap...whose gonna buy Christmas trees of you.."

This Tirrone thing is pathetic. It will have cost far more than a few cheap tickets to Lapland

The snow had better be fake stuff paid for by Tyrone. As if real snow would fall in central Manchester like that

Oh FFS, this is going to be gormless, navel gazing, and vomit-inducing stuff.

How much has it cost poorer than a church mouse Tirrone to cover the entire street with so much fake snow?
