Radiohead have released the song they recorded to be the theme for the latest James Bond movie Spectre.
The band have revealed they were asked to write a signature tune for the movie, but it "didn't work out" and the song was not used.

Pity.

Almost as bad as that Stan Smith horror, 2 poor songs made for 1 average film.

Wow, that's fabulous.

It's got a bit of a Daily Mail/Pyramid Song vibe to it. Either way it's a gorgeous track and even more baffling the Bond producers chose that wet excuse of a track by Sam Smith as the theme. Oh well, hopefully this means we are getting a new Radiohead album for 2016.

Radiohead have been my favourite band for 20 years and its a shame the movie producers didn't go with this, the Sam Smith song however has been very unfairly maligned it's a fine song too..

The Sam smith one wasn't as bad as made out but this one by Radiohead is a lot better, it's more interesting and would have been a nice slant.

It must have killed Radiohead writing a song with a melody and standard structure, only for it to still get rejected.

Someone's cut the song Spectre into the Opening credit scene

Oh yeah, that's why I don't really like Radiohead,

I really like it, better than the Sam Smith song which was a disappointment, as was the movie sadly.

A million times more evocative than the garbage that was Smith's song, but it's still not surprising the producers didn't go for it.

Still, the film was mediocre so maybe they dodged a bullet and will get chosen next time.

A million times better than that Sam Smith abomination.

sam smith - the song had so many good points but was sadly too familiar sounding and stylistically to the amazing adele song ... it sounded like a copy attempt...whereas this would have been fresh, interesting and intriguing .... but for now it will join the KD Lang realm of amazing bond songs that never were... where there any others in this juxtaposition?

Blooming awful James Bond theme as well.
