Actually really liked him tonight; the recast was a very good choice

The boy that plays him is really great, every bit as good as the adult cast I think.

I don't understand something about the storyline though.

How did the 10 and a half year old Bobby not put two and two together at the time? He smacked his Sister over the head, he can't wake her up, calls Jane and presumably gets sent to bed, the next day Lucy is dead, and He doesn't think to ask the obvious?

THIS is exactly my issue with this SL
Said it all along and tonight
Of course he must've known what he did however it was an accident and he would not have been punished, HOWEVER his parents have been morons throughout, especially jane and her hideous actions....how on earth Ian can forgive her for NOT calling for help, picking up his warm dead daughters body and leaving it in the park, framing max.....unbelievable. ..even for Ian

Surely the idea that Lucy may not have been dead when Jane drove her to her woods and left her there would tear Ian to shreds? Jane is not a doctor and she couldn't have known that Lucy was 100% dead, any normal person would call for medical help.

Maybe Bobby actually does know, and he is playing as if he doesn't, can a young child really be that manipulative that he pretending all along not to know?

I agree but have a feeling Bobby will be dead tomorrow. I think something happened at the common (like he hits his head on a tree or something) and because Bobby didn't get treatment, tomorrow Ian will go and check on him and he'll be dead. I think Dennis will pull through.

Edit:
Spoiler

I hope not, I want to see what he gets up to in 2016. Walfords youngest serial killer hopefully.

He is a good actor, but I am tired of the s/l & all the cover ups.

BIB - especially this constant "I'm going to the police".......how many times has somebody said that now in relation to the Bobby story? It feels like 15 or 20 times.

I've always believed that Bobby does know what he did to Lucy. It's ridiculous that a) he hit her over the head then couldn't wake her up but thinks she died due to someone elses actions b) never said to Ian or Peter that he was dad that the last time he saw Lucy they argued and he hit her. I know Jane is supposed to have told him to keep that a secret but a ten year old boy would say something about it unless he knew he was responsible. He is definitely that manipulative - look at the way he got Jane to get him the bike! And he is always lurking around corners listening to conversations.

Totally. This s/l is probably going to go on for another six months but it really needs to end NOW. no more "I'm going to tell.... I'm not going to tell and you mustn't either " rubbish. Enough is enough

Totally agree, it actually makes the story far more interesting to think that Bobby is actually a really manipulative boy who knows what he's doing, acting confused and like he doesn't understand whats happening, like when he said "Why do people stop talking when I walk into the room?" he's trying to appear vulnerable and innocent, when in reality he knows exactly what's happened.

He did ask though. He asked Jane and she assured him that Lucy had been fine and gone out again that night. He asked Peter, who assured him that it wasn't him. I'm quite sure that on some level he has always known, but it was easier for his young mind to accept what he was being told rather than face the awful truth.

Good point, it is possible that he just chose to ignore the facts because it was easier.

But theres no way that kid doesn't know.

Bobby is probably the worst "character" in the history of soap. He's also appallingly acted.

Not keen on the actor at all. Gives nothing to the role, especially for someone of his age with quite a lot of experience in acting in theatre and tons of guest roles.

I love how they've had it so that he's never shown his 'evil' side to Ian. Like when he broke the plate in the cafe, Jane was talking about Lucy but Bobby was still p*ssed off he wasn't getting the bike and didn't care about Lucy. Two minutes later he was back home and playing to Ian's sentimentality about Lucy's Christmas tree decoration. That kid knows how to play Ian.

I don't mind it cos at least there is some storyline to it and other things going on. compare it to corrie and Kylie and David and they are just having the same convo every episode which shows the story and cover up is being done better on EE. guess the storyblocking actually helps

The actor of Bobby is incredible. So much talent especially for his age. I do like watching him even though his character is one messed up serial killer.
