They should do a whole episode based on Kats youth.

They really should. The Convent episode was brilliant and one of the best DTC episodes, if not one of the best episodes of the 2010's. It provided an insight into Kat giving birth and the nun remembering her so vividly, how 'she lay there looking lost' or something along those lines.

I always find Kat's story so fascinating. I don't know why, it's probably because of the way Jessie Wallace portrays her in such an amazing way.

I really liked it too! But before Sharon turned around I thought it was Lucy standing there! Did anyone else think this or do my glasses maybe need a wipe?

She really does!

I can't imagine how Kat will feel when she finds out that she has a 32 year old son (Bit of a mindf--- I would imagine)

A flashback episode would be really good, from when Kat was pregnant, they could show how and why the Slaters took away her Son.

I'd also like to see Ronnie and Roxys days in Ibiza.

I did for a second but I soon saw it was Sharon. It was freakishly good, Ian appearing in the car though had me like

Just a little bit I'd imagine!

A flashback would be awesome! I've always loved the Slaters and as we never met Viv it would be nice to see what she was like. If they did a flashback I'd like to see key moments mentioned in the two hander episode, such as when Kat said she felt Zoe kick in the bath and that's when she became real instead of being a 'thing'. Her giving birth would be good too, particularly afterwards when she held Zoe then Viv came and took her away from her. We could also see more of Kat on the stairs, losing control of her life and how Charlie used to look at her as if she was a disappointment because she wouldn't tell him that Harry had abused her.

They did it with the Pat & Mo special so surely they could do it with Kat?

Viv sounds like she was a nasty piece of work. Seeing all the sisters younger would be good too.

I'm so happy Belinda is coming back, Kat needs more family.

I think with Viv it was tough love, not believing Kat about Harry was harsh but you can understand her viewpoint. Plus Kat not mentioning it again didn't help but that can be traced back to Viv not believing her. I'm sure she was a good mother but not perfect.

I am too. Okay she's played by a different actress but was never in a major role in the first place. I'm glad Kat is back, I've missed her so much and she'll knock it out of the park when Charlie dies.

And at least she will notice that Stacey is not right, everybody else seemed completely clueless tonight

True. I found Stacey quite chilling with the way she was staring into space and then did the cross symbol over her chest area.

Poor Stacey, from the looks of the spoilers, she gets worse before she gets better.

I'm just glad they've given her a decent storyline at last as opposed to sleeping around and another Who's the Daddy sl.

The opening was brilliant. When it aired I was thinking a lot of things:

Is this a flashback to show what Jane did to Lucy's body? Oh wait no it's during the day. Why is Ian in the car with her and why are both of them wearing their wedding outfit if Jane went alone? Oh wait no Ian's gone. Then when I saw Sharon I thought that it was a clip set at the end of the episode (i.e. telling the viewers that Denny would be killed at that place during the episode).

I thought the street light was an excellent touch. The way it flickered on then when the car crash happened it got cut off. I thought it signalled the end of a life or something

Thought the start was a little like turn left the famous episode from David tenant era of Doctor who

It was also reminisent of the flickering lights during Dots murder monologue, another fantastic scene.

That was brilliant. I like how EE do these types of things subtly that you have to look out for.

Blimey, I'm surprised to see how popular it was. I found it hilariously stupid.

Reminiscent of Peter's Primordial Roar. Look at the transformation of Ian:

I liked it

But you know what would of been slightly more creepy. If it had been Lucy sitting next to Jane in the car, not Ian and she makes a remark saying "so come on jane, what are you going to do with me"

It was great. I thought that Jane was on her way to the graveyard or so and stopped after she saw Sharon.

I liked it, although Jane's 'startled awakening' was a bit cheesy.

I was hoping for something like that.

I agree with this. Not every character could be given an intense character study episode like Kat's convent visit and pull it off, but she's such a fascinating and watchable character and Jessie Wallace plays her with such power and flair it was completely compelling.

I can't wait to see Kat in the middle of her own drama again in the New Year. Brilliant character and she's been missed.
