Spoilers on iplayer ruined EE for me.
A massive picture of Kat Slater for tonight's episode. And right under the play button, a link to "EastEnders - behind the scenes of the car crash".
I didn't know Kat was returning, and I didn't know there was going to be a crash. I would have really enjoyed both of these surprises, but in the end I didn't get the chance. The BBC announcer would never say "Phil and Ian have a massive car crash and Kat Slater turns up on Stacey's doorstep in tonight's EastEnders", so what makes it ok to do essentially the same thing on iPlayer, when its primary use is for people to watch things they missed on the TV and therefore haven't seen yet. |

I was gonna say because it's already aired on national tv.
But you've made a valid point in saying ya mostly for people to catch up. But then again t had already aired and they want to promote backstage stuff and it's been very widely publicised Kat would have return in the Christmas episode. |

It can be a pain at times with iPlayer. With a lot of shows you go into them knowing something big about the episode from the thumbnail.

It was well promoted that there was a car crash and that Kat was returning. They cannot go all vague because you didnt read the spoilers.
It didnt say who was involved in the car crash. |
