EE Is it safe to say that Bobby suffers ASPD?

Antisocial personality disorder.

Taken from the NHS website:
A person with antisocial personality disorder may:
- exploit, manipulate or violate the rights of others
- lack concern, regret or remorse about other people's distress
- behave irresponsibly and show disregard for normal social behaviour
- have difficulty sustaining long-term relationships
- be unable to control their anger
- lack guilt, or not learn from their mistakes
- blame others for problems in their lives
- repeatedly break the law

A person with antisocial personality disorder will have a history of conduct disorder during childhood, such as truancy (not going to school), delinquency – for example, committing crimes or substance misuse – and other disruptive and aggressive behaviours.

I highlighted the obvious symptoms he suffers.

It's been obvious all along, but today pretty much confirmed it for me when Ian confirmed to him that he killed Lucy and there was just nothing. No reaction, very little emotion, where there was emotion it was severely underwhelming and just... empty? I've seen some on here suspect Aspergers but barely half of the symptoms fit him whereas the ASPD symptoms fit him like his daily horoscope.

No, he's just a psycho killer.

Just looks and acts like a spoilt child with anger issues that lashes out when he don't get his own way or someone does or says something he don't like.

He's been coddled so much he doesn't have any sense of responsibility or discipline, probably stemming from Jane wanting to spoil him as much as she can due to not being able to have kids; she wants to make the most of Bobby growing up. I mean, just look at last week? "Mum I want a bike". "No, Bobby". Then he pushes her down the stairs and she buys him a bloody bike. No wonder he's messed up.

I just really hope they follow through on their promise to go to the police. I wonder if DS Cameron Bryant will get fired for not taking Lauren's statement/confession seriously? Max will most likely still serve jail time for assaulting a police officer and escaping police custody, which will explain his absence until later next year; not to mention they'd still have him in prison whilst they investigate Bobby, you wouldn't want to release someone you've not proven isn't the killer.

The only logical way that them going to the police can play out is to have Jane confess she did it and told no one - otherwise, we have a lot of people on and off the Square headed for jail time - Ian, Jane, Bobby, Kathy, Sharon, Phil, Lauren, Peter, Liam, Cindy and there's probably someone I forgot.

I agree it is totally Jane and to a certain extent Ians fault Bobby is the way he is.

Nothing wrong with him. He's a good boy. He needs to be protected from knowing that he's killed 3 innocent people and attempted the murder of 3 others.

Personality disorders aren't diagnosed in under 18s, so it'd have to be conduct disorder for now and, if it persists beyond adolescence, the diagnosis would have to be revised to ASPD.

He does remind me of the actor who played him in the second film.

Jesus christ. Believing people like that are "just the way they are" is not good enough. It's that kind of mindset that leads to more and more mental illnesses going undiagnised. If this wasn't a mental illness and if he was just spoilt then he'll be Denny, but he's more than just spoilt as he's acting out in the most extreme ways. Plus he's torturing/killing animals now - an act that many future psychopaths do.

Exactly. We probably all have known spoilt brats, but underneath it is the way they are being bought up and they are usually good people underneath. They don't grow up to be a danger to others
