Do soap producers actively seek any feedback from fans?
Just wondering if any soap executives actively seek any viewer feedback on a regular basis or do they just go by the viewing figures? Seems to me that many of the current criticisms of plot lines could be avoided if they were nipped in the bud at an early stage. Certainly the Bobbie storyline would not have staggered on if veiwer criticisms had been taken into account.

![]() I can see precisely what DTC is doing. He has a very difficult task to keep it interesting, four times a week, 52 weeks a year, with holiday / seasonal specials. I just think he has gone too far in one direction (totally action driven with two to three storyline twists / turns per episode) at the expense of character consistency and development. It really needs a cast of thousands to sustain such a number of storylines while keeping each character consistent. |

It would be so much better if I were consulted about things before DTC ruins them then lies about it.
