Two glaring things stood out for me watching eastenders.

1- Ronnie assumed it was Vincent in the boot so whoever she paid to put him there which means she must have paid the worst hit man how could you get him mixed up with either claudette or Fatboy or anyone else for that matter.

2- Car crash Christmas day police would have been on that at the scene and breathalyser the driver instantly not what seemed like hours later- Phil could have said he had a drink AFTER the crash.

A good episode but so many glaring errors

Just as well it's not supposed to be realistic.

I thought the exact same thing in regards number 1). If it is Fatboy in there how can her henchmen get Fatboy mixed up with Vincent? That's presuming she gave them a full description of what Vincent looked like and she didn't just say to them "it will be the guy stood next to the black Nissan" and Fatboy just happened to be walking past it at the time.

2) Wasn't Sharon on the phone to the police when Jane snatched the phone from her hand and told them there was an accident? Why weren't the police there anyway after Jane had given them the heads up?

If the police had turned up and breathalyzed Phil and nicked him for drunken driving, Ian wouldn't be able to blackmail Phil into keeping quite about Bobby.

EastEnders and gritty realism parted company a long time ago.

The hitman could have been friends or worked with Vincent, or he could have fought or paid him off. Vincent could have put Fatboy in the boot, just to terrorise him for a while for betraying him, or he knows what Ronnie's plan is and plans to have her, indirectly, kill again. As for it being Claudette in the boot, I don't know how they would work this out - if one hair on her head is harmed, Vincent would kill Ronnie instantly without hesitation, and Vincent, Kim or Donna don't seem too concerned with her whereabouts - most likely she went to see her other foster kids on Christmas.

Yeah there is no working around this one. If they had him breathalysed, Ian could not have manipulated Phil to cover for Bobby (but now they are going to the police themselves, Ian has no reason to cover for Phil).

I meant to add this one. I could only assume Ian pushed the seat belt button when he grabbed him. In which case Ian is responsible as well and as such his blackmail wouldn't work

They made sure he wasn't wearing a seat belt (although Ian had his seat belt on) and his door window was wound down.

She told the hitman to take out the one that's terrible at acting. The hitman saw Claudette, Vincent, and Fatboy standing there and it was a complete dead heat 1 in 3 shot at getting the worst actor there.

What was weird was Ronnie was really frosty towards Jack but as soon as she saw Vincent, she was all over Jack snogging him in the road, then in the kitchen - she was really going for it. Even Jack seemed surprised he had to say hold on girl can't you wait to later.

That was silly, no back windows were even broken, he must have gone out the boot windows.

firstly i doubt its claudette, How would you get a woman and a man mixed up, the fat boy instead of vincient is very possible.

I thought the same about the breathalyzer because i have been involved in two RTA's and the Police are normally first on the scene and if not the medics access the situation of a breathalyzer to take place if the patient is the driver or not. I am very surprised the Medic didn't establish who was driving as that is normally the case if the Police are not on the scene. Remember a medic maybe called to court as witness in some circumstances.

as this is not real then i am prepared to overlook it but the poster is right they are plot holes that do need addressing.

EDIT ; By the way Police these days do check CCTV of surrounding cameras if there are any to establish if the stories add up, maybe there is some evidence showing the real driver.
