Carla getting in her car to drive into town with her left arm in a cast...even if driving with your arm in plaster were possible, you're on dodgy ground regarding insurance in the event of an accident.

Yes, as if you would just put the screen off on a pc in a public office. Just for someone else to put it on and see what you have been doing
Also where is Tracy going to say she got the 10k from? Carla is so silly. |

She was great with Rob. They started to humanise her and I loved her scenes with Amy. She was still bitchy, but it wasn't 24/7.
Then they decided to make him a killer. And have her constantly seeking revenge......... ![]() |

He didn't witness it at all. However he claimed to have seen (through the kitchen window) Charlie approahing Tracey with a knife in his right hand. Only it turned out Charlie was left-handed so it was clear he was lying.
From the Corripedia entry for David: "When Tracy murdered Charlie in January 2007 claiming it was self-defence, David came forward as an eye-witness much to Tracy's surprise. Knowing he was lying, she confronted him and he told her that he was willing to back her up in court on the condition she would sleep with him. Desperate to avoid prison, Tracy agreed. However, upon taking the stand, David's plan backfired when the prosecution saw right through his lies and tore his testimony to shreds. Tracy told David that she'd never had any intention of sleeping with him, and was later found guilty and sent down for fifteen years in April 2007. " |

The answer to that would be in the spoiler thread rather than this one.

and... bearing in mind tracys main aim is to ruin Carlas life, and that she's already increased her demands from leave town, to leave town and make sure nick sells to Robert, to leave town, give us 10 grand so nick sells to Robert, to leave town give us 10 grand so nick sells to Robert and MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T SELL TO LEANNE, does Carla REALLY believe she's just gonna let her go without telling nick everything anyway?!
Carla is so silly. |

How dumb is Eva, the other week Marta told her that the people who she was working for had taken her passport, then today Eva says she will pay for her flight home and she has to be told again about the passport

Which is why this story is so stupid. Carla would never let Tracy blackmail her like that and would know that she is leaving herself open to Tracy still telling on her. Could be the last straw for me and Coronation Street.

When it was announced Alison King was leaving it was said it would only be a break and she would return to the role in the future. I'm wondering if her change of mind to now leave permanently was brought about by this storyline. It really is utter drivel and contrary to Carla's persona during all the years she has been a character. I watched tonight in utter disbelief at what was going on between Carla and Tracy. It may have been the last straw for Ali King.
.I love Corrie but tonight I wondered why the hell I was watching. |

Tracey coming from the kitchen and standing behind the bar shouting at Leanne when she was speaking to Nick

In fact she seems to be constantly in the place, no matter what the time of day and never seems to be in her own shop at allIt's almost like SB is trying to run CS into the ground before he leaves.....

That was ridiculous, as well as extremely irritating.

He can't tell a daisy from a daffodil and is rubbish at bouquets. Well, he was last week.

If the money is so important to Nick why doesn't he advertise it and see if he can get a higher price?

It seems she decided to leave there and then, but the Corrie writers just said it was a 'break'. Possibly hoping she would do a u-turn. Carla has gone from one of my favourites, to a character I now completely despise and can't bare to stand the sight of. I know Carla was never this strong, independent businesswoman the writers portrayed she was, but in her first few years she did a pretty damn fine job of convincing me. She was wonderfully ruthless, but at the same time this vulnerable human being. I cannot believe she would give up and let Tracy 'win' like that. Not even putting up a fight. Why is she so helpless for? Why can't she call her bluff? Why must it always be about remorse and sorrow?? I guess this is what happens when you have her dominate episodes, you just run out of ideas quickly. Same goes for Tracy. She's gone from pest to this 24/7 bitch, who gets the slightest bit jealous if anyone lays their hands on Robert. Glad Leanne was a bit more fiesty tonight, but why so timid?? Unleash the Battersby in you and knock that Barlow out! Another thing, Carla does something shifty on the computer, and who would interrupt her and ask something stupid??? Kirky of course.

Carla handing over the 10k in the Bistro of all places in full view of whoever might be looking was rather laughable.

I can't believe I actually gave up an hour of my evening to watch this drivel again.
It really is lurching from awful to dire by the day. Some Lowlights... Marys transformation from dowdy spinster to IT party girl is so unbelievable and her overacting is pure pantomime. Indeed, the whole 'girls night out thing' was so toe curlingly bad. Granny Liz (those red boots!) and Erica surely wouldn't be seen dead in the company of someone like Mary. Why Kirk is still on the payroll is completely beyond me. His character is so feckless and totally pointless and his interaction with Carla was plain bizarre. Note to new producer - please get rid asap! We had lobotomized Gail again tonight - are the writers having a laugh or are they just trying to hack Helen Worth off so that she throws in the towel? Audrey doing her thang on a treadmill at the Gym was a bit dangerous given her angina episode just a couple of weeks ago - did they forget about that? And how we laughed at Mrs Nazir having tampered with Gails machine. Not. The Carla/Tracey/Robert stuff is utter nonsense. I really can't believe how this is being played out. I mean, Carla being browbeaten and blackmailed by Tracey. Yeah right! And you might have expected Robert to have been a bit more suspicious about where the £10K came from. Lazy on oh so many levels. While the actress playing the slave girl is quite good the storylining is so lame and full of holes. Where has she been for the last fortnight and why did she return to Underworld of all places? And now that we know where her passport is it doesn't take a genius to see where this is going. Telegraphing the plot taken to a whole new dimension! Seriously. ITV need to take a long hard look at this show and get their act together. The new producer certainly has a mountain to climb. |

Bethany went to the trouble of hiding letters from Sarah about her absence but not about her parents evening where her attendance would inevitably come up? So the school sent Sarah 3 letters home, 6 text messages and some emails. The letters home I could understand, but there's no way that Bethany would have intercepted all of the emails and texts. Most of those would have been sent and received during school hours when Bethany was bunking off school but she wouldn't have been near Sarah's phone/computer. And there's no way that Sarah wouldn't have immediately looked at her phone when she received at least one of those messages. And Bethany's GCSE's are ongoing, they're not coming up, at this time of year teachers would be encouraging their students to do a bit of revision every night almost.
A couple of months ago Simon returned from an 8 week holiday that is unrealistic in itself. Then the day that he got back and skived off Leanne got a phonecall by lunchtime. And it's not like Simon is in an important year of school although the 8 week holiday should have raised massive alarms and a fine. However when it's Bethany who is in the most important school year of her life and is missing ample amounts of school time, they don't bother with a phonecall, emails and texts will do. It's ridiculous how inconsistent that is. I don't think a single writer has children as they can't write them or school realistically. |

Marta has probably sewed more knickers behind the boxes then the whole workforce has using the sewing machines in the time she's been in the factory.

Not to worry though, as Eva is now going to the O'Driscolls and has a plan to retrieve the passport. It'll be easy to find as it will no doubt be in the passport drawer in the kitchen!
![]() ![]() Also, you would think that Tracey of all people should know never to celebrate a deal prematurely before a contract is signed. She even mentioned it herself in an episode last week about how close she always gets before ultimately losing out, yet there she was again in the Bistro tonight celebrating and gloating without a contract being signed. Of course we know where this is heading....Zzzzzzz Finally, would the bank really give Carla that 10k in cash? I can't think of any bank that would be willing to hand out such an amount in cash form. In this day and age, Carla would be transferring the money directly into Tracey's bank account through online banking. Of course it is a well worn soap cliche that large sums of money must be stuffed into an envelope and handed over in person for dramatic purposes
