If the O'Driscoll's are where Underworld gets most of its business and they'd go out of business without their orders then how on earth did they survive before they acquired their business a few months ago with less orders? They survived before without them and with Carla taking money out of the business so why can't they now?

We get this every time Underworld want to make a deal with a new client. They are important and what are needed to keep the factory afloat. It is just another thing Corrie like to repeat every year.

Got a bit confused by Erica last night.

Was it Coronation Street or Grease I was watching?

Eva was doing a fine job of suspending reality last night

Only Eva would be dumb enough to not even check it was the right passport.

I dont know why she thought it would be in an easily accessible cupboard. If it was easy to find Marta would have just got it herself.

Exactly what I thought, dumb as ever. Stupid that she even finds a passport but of course she just assumes it is Marta's. Did the dreadful foreign wife say she had been there au pair?

When Leanne came into the Bistro and said that she "didn't work there any more" Robert decided that he would kick Tracey out, give Leanne "table duty" for the night and told Andy to "take a break now" - am presuming that's when he went to the Rovers? Andy had mentioned that he had not had a break for 10 hours so maybe was on a day shift/split shift/double shift - probs having an hour off at least?

Claire King was looking very full in the face tonight. I know she has rheumatoid arthritis, but tries to do as much as she can in spite of it - when she was on Strictly she said she pushed her feet back into shape each morning to force them into her dancing shoes, took pain killers and ignored anything she was suffering as far as she could.

How she's treated for it depends on how severely she has it and whether or not she was having a flare up when she was filming. It's possible that she was taking a high dose of corticosteroids, one side effect of which is a "moon face", to settle it down again. So I wouldn't criticise her looks.

Ah yes, the very important client at Underworld who's usually a lech. But this time it's a power couple. It's just like the Underworld is in dire financial straits - rinse and repeat and must be bailed out SLs.

I agree. It reminded me of grease as well.

A bit puzzled by something, why was Michael coming out of Gavin's flat first thing in the morning, I thought he lived at Eileen's? You always see him coming in as if he lives there, and he was cooking dinner the other night.
Instead we see Phelan coming out the door in the morning, I know he works with Jason, but wouldn't he just meet him at the yard, or does he live there now?

"We're rushed off our feet/snowed under" seems to be the mantra in the bistro, yet staff are told to take a break or bugger off in the middle of a shift all the time.
The rest of the time they're propped round the bar area yacking away and ignoring/insulting customers.
Steph's held back of late on hanging over diners and grilling them about their private business though.

I can't wait for the ultimate conclusion, where no doubt Aidan or Carla will announce to the wasters on the factory floor that the factory maybe closing down. The gobshites will then retreat to the Rovers and start drinking, while at the same time complaining that they will be unable to pay their bills.

Of course the factory will reopen an episode or two later, and things will carry on as normal.

Michael lives with NotGavin and Steph.

Phelan was going to have breakfast in the caff with Eileen and Jason so I presume he called round to collect them.

Nah, Phelan knew that when he walked down the street with Eileen and Jason having a laugh that Michael (who doesn't trust him) will conveniently exit Andy and Steph's flat to spot them. Phelan has became aware of the contrived coincidences that occur in this street.

I know he moved in with NotGavin and Steph, but that was ages ago, didn't think he still lived there, how can they be bothered with him about the place? He really is a right moocher, it was the same when he took up with Gail, and wangled his way into that house.

Totally agree - it was originally a one-person flat (Tina) so 3 of them there now is stupid. Michael hasn't forgiven Gail for her part in the whole Gavin drama, but is quite happy to live with 2 people he actually has no connection to, both of whom were also involved?

I am surprised a bistro in the backstreets gets any custom at all. I cant think of any bistro type place that is off the main road or shopping area.

THE 6:37 EXPRESS SERVICE TO URMSTON RATTLING BY OVER HEAD

talking of which, when the original wine bar opened (pre tram crash) you would hear the rumble of the trams over head, since it reopened you hear nowt, must be good soundproofing

Never learn, do they!

Makes a change from the sleazy male client who wants Michelle/Maria/Alya to flash a bit of flesh to clinch the deal.

I can't believe his relationship with Gail is still fractured, yet he happily bonds with Andy, as if he did nothing wrong!

Those glasses of wine they serve at the bistro look a bit odd - there hardly seems any wine in them. It could be a decent amount, but the over-sized glass makes it look not nearly enough. Not sure if it's a SOR or just modern.

They have to be bucket sized for when Carla comes in.
