He did the right thing, as a shareholder, took control the of situation, and after all, if someone you worked with owned part of at the business, and had agreed to buy the rest, would you ignore them until it was done, that could affect your working relationship when the deal is finally done (as you would have to assume it would be).”

Yes. I agree with that. Good point. Someone had to take control and who better than Robert? And it also allowed him to support Leanne and to snub Tracy. Tracy will be seething with spite and vengeance. But then, when isn't Tracy seething with spite and vengeance? It's not a pretty trait!

I dont think there is. There is the episode thread but you have to watch and read at the same time, and most dont want to do that.

I think it would be good if someone ( you, please, Mr Meldrew? ) started a " Discussion for everything about Coronation street" thread and asked for it to be pinned.

I wouldn't have anything to contribute to it! I like (liked?) the fun aspect of this thread and I don't really want to analysis the programme in general.

Anyone else?

You could always do it yourself if you think that is what is needed.

Running in arrears after visitors last week and watching The Bistro negotiations ...

I'm confused, what is the shareholding position? I thought Leanne was a 50% owner, leaving Nick with 30% after he gave Robert 20%.

No?

Not sure, but surely she would not have took Tracy sacking her so lightly if she had been?

I would be glad of it if I was her. Notgavin is as exciting as soggy toast!

I am not sure if it is. It is just an idea,

No, Nick somehow ended up with the lot and called it "Just Nick's" for spite.

I hadn't got to the sacking scene but that makes it all the more puzzling in my addled mind!

I used to get confused when I heard some athletes shouting how they put 150% into their effort. It didn't make sense. But seeing how the bistro shares chopped and diced up it's as clear as a bell. There is either a minium 250% and bigger than general motors or its the old shell game at the county fair. No matter which way they dish them up it will end in tears and large amounts of wine being consumed. wahttps://digitalspy.dsid.mesector=1&t=931&k=9258bdb71a95f79681941494d79d6d23y

Yes, can't see where this dragged-out sl is going - other than to show Eva has a heart as big as her assets - thus endearing herself to Aidan, despite her possibly losing the factory for him, the goof!

On a related matter, can I have a job on Corrie, as I can do a passable keyboard imitation of Marta: *frightened eyes* "No - no doctorrrr. No waterrrr." Eh!?

I thought Andy might have an accident and be uninsured, but your idea has more legs

Marta looked on the verge of death. Surely the right thing is to call a doctor anyway? If only to avoid the awkwardness of having an unidentified dead body on your couch.

Quite. Leanne needs an expired slave on her sofa like a hole in the head right now. And big-hearted Eva wouldn't want it on her conscience.

What do you reckon's wrong with her? Too much brown eyeshadow?

and are Amy / Simon / Faye / Bethany the only teens in the vicinity of the rosamund street bus stop. It's usual to see a whole herd of teens at bus stops, especially in a city are like Weatherfield is meant to be.

surely it's not too hard to get a few young looking 20 years old extras to wear a school uniform”

Different years have parent evenings on separate nights. Teachers have 1 or 2 classes for most year groups and generally that would mean that they could have up to 60 appointments, if they had more than 1 years group on the same night then the teachers would barely cope as parents evening is generally a 3-4 hour thing with 3-5 minute appointments. Different parent evenings are usually in a different month to other parent evening as it would be cruel to the teachers to force them to stay really late after school more than once in the same week or so.

Agreed about the bus stop although Coronation street is in its own little bubble these days. Simon calling out Bethany for leaving as the bus got there was weird, they have never interacted before and what business is it of his?

He is so dull. A non-character. He wasn't even believable when he was playing a con-man. Give him something more exciting to do. Steph giving him continual tongue-lashings is a bore. Yawn.

What another hospitalised Corrie character at paralysed/death's door/got no money a la Sinead/Tyrone/Carla? They couldn't do that again - could they?

Perhaps they need to get value for money from the hospital bed (presumably bought with the proceeds of all the various now forgotten vehicles - the VW Campervan, Steve's Noddy Car, Luke's Boy Racer wagon, and Mary's Motor Home).

thanks for that, not sure how it works in high schools as I've only worked in infant or primary schools where it's usually done in one week

Im honestly not saying this to pick a fight but I disagree. I genuinely believed how Erica looked was an SOR. She's a character that usually looks quite smart and classy, and suddenly looks like a tarty old Liz clone? And just to trap a man? And that's all men go for, someone looking like a scrubber? Not that they like someone as they are in the first place?

Someone be compared it to the Grease scene as that's just what it was like...but Corrie is supposed to represent real life not a movie aimed at teenagers.

I thought it was a bit mad the way Erica, who I like, looked perfectly ok one minute and the next was unflattteringly got up like Liz. The dress was too tight (very Liz) and her make up didn't look that good either. And that's without the crazy grabbing and kissing of Dev in the middle of the pub
